http://anthonycapuano-birdingblog.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 29, 2015. Headed down to Bedford yesterday after news of one of the last 5 wild Lady Amherst's Pheasants. Left in the Western Palearctic broke on twitter last week. It appeared within a few minutes of me arriving but it was a fleeting sighting as it walked from one area of forest through the clearing to the next. Sadly I had no further sightings in the next 2.5 hours. Heard my first Chiffchaff. Library Picture, sadly not mine! Sunday, March 15, 2015. On Anglesey at Cemlyn Bay, Chough. By Yo...

In search of a Norwegian Blue. And howling at the moon. Please do not reproduce without asking. Thanks. New at this and finding my way around. Any help appreciated! Monster, Orloton Bunting May 2009. Saturday, 26 January 2013. After a dubious start to the year I retraced my steps a few days later . only to be thwarted by the weather again, this time fog! The annoying thing was you could see the sun was out and blue sky IF you could get past the fog. I'll keep it brief, FOG! Whooper Swan overhead in the f...

Nature Centred: June 2010
http://naturecentred.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Encounters with wildlife (and people! Saturday, 12 June 2010. I had swung it out over the floor, cleaned the glass and swung it back in before realising! The poor thing. This really gave me a funny turn, and I had to be really careful with the rest of them. Even lovely Pippa, the ground squirrel, looked keen to escape, so I had to give her glass a miss. Apparently, she can be a bit grumpy! I told myself not to be daft, as it was behind glass, and was not going to "get me! The new tortoises and lemurs hav...

Encounters with wildlife (and people! Sunday, 10 July 2011. Glad to see the coot chick is still going strong, and is now almost as big as the adults (although still clearly a chick with its fluffy plumage). I now feel confident it is large enough to hold its own and not be picked off as something's breakfast. Although I had a moment of panic this morning when I could only see the adults. until I heard the now familiar peep peep. Audible in some of this clip) and the chick came into view. The reserve is h...
