As I cut the templates out I glued them together in three's using dichloromethane. Once they were adhered I then glued the three to other three sections, thus building up my body of my amplifier. As went along I kept checking the depth until the battery was covered. I then had to cut the back out. This shows the gluing of the templates and being held together by clamps. To finish the front off I needed to design a simple but effective speaker cover. Using the blue acrylic I cut a circle to the size of the 'O' and cut out some smaller holes to allow the sound to come through. You can see here the design I came up with in Corel. I used the mirror features to create the pattern. The access plate to the battery required pillar drilling to create tow small holes where the screws would hold it in place. The le.d.'s will have to be wired up and then connected to the battery input on the circuit board. Blue lights use a greater current and I thought that the 9V battery would be enough to supply the power to the speaker and l.e.d's. But this was not to be. This picture shows the four AA battery pack and the circuit board. The speaker is in place and the front cover is attached to the main body. You can see here where the.
