5 problems in a hour in Ruby – David Blackmon – Polyglot Developer currently living in beautiful south Florida
http://davidkblackmon.com/5_problems_in_an_hour
Polyglot Developer currently living in beautiful south Florida. 5 problems in a hour in Ruby. Just so that I can record my solutions. For loop (tbh, I had to look up the syntax for a for loop in ruby). Sum with for loop. Sum with while loop. How i would probably do it in Ruby. 8 is the number of operators needed to fill the gaps in the 1.9 array. Full disclosure, number 5 pushed my total time to more than an hour. Written on May 31, 2015.

http://davidkblackmon.com/Neo4J-and-Vagrant
Polyglot Developer currently living in beautiful south Florida. Yeah, well, Ive been busy. Dont try to install neo4j in the shared directory of a vagrant box. Change the neo4j server config to allow access from the host machine. Orgneo4j.server.webserver.address=0.0.0.0. I saw a twitter post a few days ago from @analyticbridge. About a free book on graph databases. The log file /NEO4J HOME/data/log/console.log showed entries like. And, sure enough, extracting the file to another directory inside the vagr...
Ruby and AutoCAD via IronRuby – David Blackmon – Polyglot Developer currently living in beautiful south Florida
http://davidkblackmon.com/iron-ruby-in-autocad
Polyglot Developer currently living in beautiful south Florida. Ruby and AutoCAD via IronRuby. Inspired by a blog post by Kean Walmsley here, I have been working on some wrapper and helper functions for driving AutoCAD using Ruby. IronRuby and Keans loader function gives the AutoCAD developer full access to the managed API. But any that has coded against that API knows it can be verbose and lead to some not-so-readable code, like the C# code below. Get the current document and database. Add to model space.

Polyglot Developer currently living in beautiful south Florida. TIRADE (The IronRuby Autocad Development Environment). Here is a sneak-peek at. TIRADE(The IronRuby Autocad Development Environment). TIRADE extends my work on acadhelper. And allows instant (or at least very rapid) gratification and enjoyment of Ruby goodness when extending AutoCAD with IronRuby. I used the ICSharpCode TextEditor control. With some local modifications) as the editor control and used the open source DockPanel.

Polyglot Developer currently living in beautiful south Florida. Foldr vs foldl in haskell. I am re-reading Learn You a Haskell for Great Good! And I can recall my confusion from my initial reading over the example of foldr. If were mapping ( 3) to [1,2,3], we approach the list from the right. 5 problems in a hour in Ruby. Journey into the heart of God, David K Boles
Journey into the heart of God, David K Boles. At 56 there is still a lot to learn about the heart of God. This is my journey. Wednesday, March 28, 2012. You are the salt of the earth - Me? You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.” Matt 5:13. What is Jesus saying to us? Jesus saying to his disciples? Thousands of years ago, when the diet of humans was potassium-rich an...
