Monday, January 7, 2008. Thing #15: Find a Similar Reader on Library Thing. May be the most relevant-to-libraries Web 2.0 service out there. It is a service that lets you catalogue (yes, with Library of Congress headings! Your own collection of books. Once you have a collection yourself, there are lots of things you can do, the most fun (I think) is use the Suggestions. You will need to create an account with LibraryThing and this will require an email address. Say about 3) to your library to do this.

http://hpllearning.blogspot.com/2007/11/thing-12-subscribe-to-podcast.html
Friday, November 23, 2007. Thing # 12: Subscribe to a Podcast. A podcast is just an RSS feed with digital sound for content instead of text. The procedure for subscribing to a podcast is the same as for subscribing to any RSS feed. Try thing #9 first (subscribe to the hpllearning blog's feed), then duplicate the procedure for the podcast. Would you user or want your child/niece/nephew using this resource in a school paper? Thing #8: Try out Goo...
