Things seemed alright as we motored out of the harbor and we just sort of headed in the direction of Sadie Cove. It was a nice warm day (mid thirties) and we both felt comfortable with the light winds and calm water. It was a little tricky getting used to the tiller arm but I was feeling more and more confident as we went. It sure was nice being out on the bay again after so long! Winning on the shore of Sadie Cove!

Musings of a Resident Man From Marietta. Just another Martindell weblog. March 15, 2011. Woz Ice Climbing Trip. My friend Bill and I flew into the Woznesensky glacier on a Tuesday morning for five days and five nights of ice climbing. We hired Jose from Northwind Alaska to fly us in on his ‘bird dog’ plane which was fitted with skis to land on the frozen lake. The lake is about 11 miles from the Kachemak Bay right at the snout of the glacier. We set up camp on the shore of the lake and got settled in.

I enjoy hiking and climbing, camping, reading books, playing on the internet, finding good shopping deals on the internet and driving my Suzuki Sidekick in four wheel drive.
