It just seems right to have the family together and to give people a chance to interact with the Truth they are learning. Thoughts on the devoted life. December 29, 2008 in The devoted life. Tags: AND THEREBY HANGS A TALE. Having read the book, I was particularly interested in the movie. Would they spoil the magic the book possessed? Would the book, a great, and funny, read, be adaptable to film? Would Hollywood stretch the tale (sorry) beyond recognition? The answer is “only a little”. With a few exceptions, the film is moderately to delightfully faithful to the book. The joy of being who I am. Of course, the dog knows that.
