Interestingly, the most asked question I get after returning from Israel is some version of, "Did you feel safe? In a word: Yes. When I travel to New York City, Washington, DC, Detroit or Chicago, there are some areas I don't visit. But I don't avoid the entire city because some spots are known to be dangerous. I use common sense, act wisely, trust God, and enjoy the trip. So it is in Israel. Links to this post.

Thoughts on life and work and family. Wednesday, August 27, 2014. My summer reading list this year included the book, Duel with the Devil. The account of Aaron Burr and Alexander Hamilton working together as the original legal dream team for a young carpenter named Levi Weeks who was accused of the 1800 murder of a young woman named Elma Sands. The story is one of intrigue, ulterior motives and suspense—criminally, historically, and politically. Two other books on my reading list were The Great Gatsby.

Sunday, July 24, 2011. Joining the 6 Month Club! This last Friday I joined the 6th month club! Welcoming me to the club was a nice head and chest cold. ICK! Hopefully my antibiotics will help kick it soon. It better because the Whitlock Clan is heading to Missouri next Friday and then onto Oklahoma to see our family. We haven't seen any family since we got pregnant and are SUPER excited to see them! I hear that drink isn't all that wonderful to get down! Baby boy is kicking away like crazy these days!

Friday, November 23, 2012. We have a ONE YEAR old! Yupthat's right.it's been a WHOLE year! We threw C a Little Man Mustache party and we all had a blast! Seriously can't believe he's one! On his actual birthday we had a little smash cake session.which he loved of course. This kid LOVES cake.he would have eaten the whole thing had I not have taken it away. Thank you to Etsy. For all the wonderful party items! Party cake was homemade, using Duff's Cake Tattoos. Smash Cake session came from Farm Fresh.

Saturday, September 25, 2010. The Gun Man and A Precious Friend's Wedding. This weekend I was blessed to attend a precious friend's wedding, Lauren Hodson (now Lauren Caudill! And spend some much needed time with friends I hadn't seen in a year or even 2! Here are some pictures of my best friend's little boy, Gunner, and Lauren's wedding. More to come later!
