Far Above Rubies: January 2010
http://kristaline-w.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 23, 2010. I was driving this afternoon and turned the radio on, and this song came on. I never had heard most of the verses, and, well, wow. There are some powerful words to think about. I would also recommend "How Deep the Father's Love For Us," also written by Stuart Townend. Thursday, January 21, 2010. I gotta start writing this stuff down, or I'm not going to remember it! Elisa: "Mommy, that's the mercy of the covenant! Me: Elisa, we don't lick the salt. Elisa: Yes, Mommy. Once the ...

Far Above Rubies: January 2011
http://kristaline-w.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 29, 2011. I used to listen to Children's Bible Hour on the radio growing up and found out recently that "Down Gilead Lane" is produced by the same ministry. I have enjoyed the few episodes I've heard so far, so I thought I'd add a link to it here. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Far Above Rubies: April 2009
http://kristaline-w.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 27, 2009. I'll break the suspense now. Bekka, you got it right. For those who didn't know, alopecia areata is patches of baldness. I don't remember all the why's and wherefore's from school, but that's the basic definition. And yes, someone in the house has a temporary case of it. There's a little story behind this, as you might have guessed. Elisa, sitting at the head of the bed, facing me. Joshua, near the foot of the bed, back towards me. And pulling - hard. Then, they were both laughing.

Far Above Rubies: Winter at the home place
http://kristaline-w.blogspot.com/2010/01/winter-at-home-place.html
Saturday, January 9, 2010. Winter at the home place. It was a tunnel-digging day today if ever there was one. That drift was just begging to be tunneled through! We actually started out collecting wood for our fireplace, but once that was done, we gravitated to the back of the house and started digging. David started out and was making much greater progress on his tunnel than I was on mine, so I floundered over and around the drift to the backside, where I started digging to meet up with him. Anyhow, I d...

Far Above Rubies: December 2009
http://kristaline-w.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 4, 2009. Particularly our baby, who really isn't a baby anymore. She's a regular bundle of personality, beginning to talk, and getting so tall! She's grown an inch since August. The older two are perhaps not on such a growth spurt height-wise, but their speech and vocabulary skills are increasing by leaps and bounds. You never know what they are going to say - or how. They will say it! PS I cut her bangs a couple of weeks ago - her first haircut! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Far Above Rubies: My new toy
http://kristaline-w.blogspot.com/2010/03/chicken-pox.html
Monday, March 1, 2010. On Friday night, David brought up a big box from the basement. He said, "If you don't use this, I'm going to sell it.". I was pretty curious right off after hearing that. My mind went back to a couple of semi-serious conversations we'd had months ago about getting a Wii Fit. Did he really? And the thought of trying to run like that? Let's just say I would have to work up to that kind of athleticism. Apparently he went to eBay and found a Wii for me. Thank you, David! March 2, 2010 ...

Far Above Rubies: March 2009
http://kristaline-w.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 23, 2009. I looked up from the laundry I was folding this afternoon to see this and had to grab my camera. Priceless. Now all we need to do is get her to do this in church! This was a Gaither praise video, by the way. Labels: count your blessings. Saturday, March 21, 2009. All things hair design. Then yesterday, I got the notion in my head that I should trim her hair again. It was starting to get a little scraggly-looking when she wore it down (which is most of the time):. The corner of his...

The rambling thoughts of a violinist. I know it's been forever since I updated, bad me. anyone life has been good, normal. Got a new computer about a month ago. I'm LOVING it! It's so nice to be able to do something without the computer freezing up every 10 minutes. And I went to Tyson. Which wasn't fun, but thankfully the car isn't damaged. Far Above Rubies: "Wait" by Russel Kelfer
http://kristaline-w.blogspot.com/2010/03/wait-by-russel-kelfer.html
Tuesday, March 2, 2010. Wait" by Russel Kelfer. Thanks to Julie for posting this - I just had to pass it along. I had heard the last 3 paragraphs of this poem years ago, and now I find out that it wasn't the whole thing. Anyway, it is such an encouragement to me, and I hope it blesses you, too. -Kristi. Desperately, helplessly, longingly, I cried;. Quietly, patiently, lovingly, God replied. I pled and I wept for a clue to my fate. And the Master so gently said, "Wait.". Is your hand shortened? You'd not ...
