From the pretty great Northwest. Thursday, August 1, 2013. Edward Snowden, the fugitive NSA contractor, has been granted "asylum" in Russia. Does anyone grasp the irony of this? Does he think he is free? He went from the United States and its justice system to a country which cannot even protect political dissenters or journalists. What is he going to do now? From the pretty great Northwest. Monday, May 11, 2015. West Point and Cadet Benjamin O. Davis. The US. Military Academy at West Point has named a barracks after General Benjamin O. Davis, '32, the second African American to graduate. He went on to a distinguished military and civilian career. While at West Point he was "silenced" by the other cadets because of his race. I keep meaning to publicize this before Opening Day, but, as they say, Wait til next year. No writer's journey is complete with out poetry. This is nonfiction, what I call a war story. In this case it's the war on drugs.

David Wilma Writer and Historian. John Saxton and Margaret Hains Saxton, Port Burwell, Ontario, circa 1846. John fought in the American Revolution as a member of the Westchester Volunteers, a Loyalist unit from New York. This is a rare photograph of a veteran of the Revolution. The Saxtons were my 4th great grandparents. Wilma - Dorn - Flood - Fisk. Forgive the unpolished appearance, but the data is as accurate as I can make it. The ancestors of Edmund Flood.
