Weird because I wasn't with family like I have been for every other Thanksgiving of my life (save one where I had mono in Boston), but wonderful because I was with two of the most wonderful people a person could ever possibly have in their life. Here's a quick rundown of the menu:. Fiery Sweet Potatoes with curry and coconut milk. Quinoa salad with radishes, pumpkin seeds, dried blueberries and pear.

Monday, March 21, 2011. On The First Bicycle Ride of Spring. This morning was my first time back on my bicycle in 2011. See, I'm not the "all through the winter" kind of cyclist, but rather a fair weather rider. This may make me a bit wimpier than I'd like, but I find solace in the fact that I walk a WHOLE lot during the winter, so all physical activity is not lost. just not in a two wheel format. It felt so good! Anyway, it feels good to be back and makes me excited about Spring and all it has to offer.

Monday, January 24, 2011. On Take Me There - Tulum, Mexico. I haven't mentioned this yet, but I'm headed back to Mexico at the end of this month. So, rather than curb my urge, I think our recent trip to a warm climate has but exacerbated my need to get there as quickly as possible. The destination is Tulum, a place I went and loved before. I actually didn't take a lot of pictures of food because I wanted to focus on enjoying it rather than photographing it. The cool thing about the area is that there is a strong focus (in many restaurants) on local produce. Many of the hotels have their own gardens and grow their own vegetables.
