Saturday, February 28, 2009. Tom's Surgery and Lily Update. Tom had back surgery yesterday. A right sided L5-S1 microdiscectomy was done without apparent complications. He can still walk and is not incontinent! 160;The surgery was pretty painless and he was walking within 2 hours. I don't even think he said anything too stupid when coming out of anesthesia! She is a sun bather! Post-surgery (he's looks very excited). Yes, that is the disc specimen! Monday, February 16, 2009. Sunday, February 8, 2009.

Tuesday, March 17, 2009. Well, it was too good to last. Tom was doing excellent in his recovery from disc surgery but last Thursday on his way to work he suddenly got the worst headache of his life. Skull splitting, blinding pain that caused overwhelming nausea and vomiting. He raced home and upon lying down the headache dramatically improved - yes, you guessed it, the classic signs of a spinal fluid leak. Tuesday, March 3, 2009. A few more pics. Here are a few more pics we received today.

Josh was able to snap a few pictures of the cake, the cutting of the cake, the sparkling apple cider (in all three colors! For the best man's toast, and beautiful Jess (beautifully married, smiling with her flower-girl niece). I was so glad I was able to be there with her! Congrats Jess and Darrell!
