Orlando Flowers Part 2. March 6, 2012 at 7:51 pm ( Gardening. To start with, flowers were not the only way to make an impact. Foliage was very important in the mass plantings. First is the variegated shell ginger with knockout roses. The next photo shows variegated shell ginger with macho ferns in front. Of course there were stands of the red ti plant (Cordyline teminalis) all through the area. I have a few of these plants, and this year, I will make sure to group them all together for a bigger impact.

Dodging the Weather Bullet. February 12, 2012 at 5:26 pm ( Weather. By Jan in Covington, Louisiana. All of the daylilies have started showing new growth, and as I was protecting other tender tropical plants, I was keeping my fingers crossed hoping this new growth wouldn’t be harmed by the freeze. After it warmed up, I went to check on things, and all the daylilies were fine – the newly emerging ones as well as the evergreen ones that have new growth. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. I was fortunate to get both of these flowers in the same photo. These fowers introduced in 2012 were just this color. Both are very rich and the substance of each was thick and heavy. Oh no, my 'wish list' or 'just gotta haves' just got longer. Hmmm. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). St Petersburg, Florida, United States. View my complete profile.

Four Blooms at a Time - h. Dixie Highway. Tuesday, December 6, 2011. Purple daylilies are so beautiful and make awesome photos. Here is Sycamore Southern Girl,. A Tim Bell intro from 2009. This flower was blooming in the garden of my good friend Linda Sample in Tampa. I took this photo, believe it or not, with my iphone. For some reason I had left my Olympus at home that day. I was even able to get a great picture of a visitor who stayed long enough for the photo shoot. Labels: Sycamore Southern Girl.
