I have lists in my mind, lists in my daily planner, on old envelopes scattered all over the house, in various notebooks and many other places. Many of my lists include seemingly endless things to do (I can’t resist making this a list)🙂. Budget lists and bills to pay. What to buy the next time I go to the grocery store.

So, after a round of telling lies, complaining, fighting, etc., and the knowledge that there would need to be punishment, I took my mom’s advice an told my daughter that we were going to play a board game that night. The change was almost instantaneous. It’s hard to describe the difference in our collective mood today. But, who’s complaining? Glad to have a mom that braved the storm...

Life, Love, and Other Mysteries. July 31, 2012 by avasmama. July is a fun month for us. In my (Schrock) family, there are four birthdays- Joshua’s, Ava’s, Adrian’s and mine. Always fun to have excuses to party. Sometime during last winter, Ava saw the movie “Dolphin Tale” and was extremely intrigued with Winter, the tail-less dolphin. I don’t know if it helps that Aunt Lisa is a prosthetist. A day at Homosassa Springs State Park. And an evening on the beach at Pine Island. And a fun meal at Bayport Inn.
