After a break (and a cerveza) at a small restaurant within the market, I was able to take it all in and enjoy the ride. I never did get a ride in one of these. Guatemala Trip July 13th – 27th. NPH- the school, the kids, the staff, the volunteers – all family. We enjoyed the opportunity to not only play with the kids, but to leave our mark with volunteering in the kitchen, in the garden, with the special needs, Montessori and my favourite… the construction site. Aug 14th, 2015 at 7:21 PM. And its run by a single woman named Audrey Hitchcock and a single farm manager. They deal with 47 water buffalo by themselves, including milking 7 if them a day and making cheese on Fridays. Audreys husband had a dream but he died this year, leaving her with running the place by herself- including giving tours on Saturdays. She also admits to riding the head stud bull on occasion!
