I love that Ian is just old enough to keep Melody enjoying the egg hunts. I read something on Facebook this morning that really spoke to me and I want to share it. Easter is a promise. Sunday, March 28, 2010. So the last week or so I've been whispering to Ian at bath time . "Ian do you want to take a bath? At first I just wanted to see what he would do and then he would whisper back "bath" real soft and it was so cute so each night I've been asking him in a whisper. I think it was the first time he talked to me to ask me for something without me prompting it. It was so sweet. And he whispered, which I love, because he can be quite loud! I don't mind the snow and cold so much, but Nathan has had one virus after another, starting right around Thanksgiving. We had to postpone his first birthday party twice, once because I wasn't feeling well and then he had a fever. He's had short breaks where he isn't sick, and then something hits him again. I probably shouldn't surf the 'net for more information, and honestly, I haven't recently. But from what the dermatologist has told us, surgery may not take care of it. Apparently, surgery on a venous malformation is pretty complicated, and the malformation can come back in spite of surgery. Mark and I try to not worry her too much with our concerns about it all.
