The misadventures of a crafty woman. Friday, May 17, 2013. Finally. it's time to garden! We're doing raised beds for the first time ever. The raised bed to the left has onions, carrots, spinach and lettuce. I'm planting all of my herbs and flowers in the garden bed next to the house (not raised). So far, we have 2 kinds of basil, lemon grass, oregano, chives, catnip, two kinds of parsley, lemon balm, sunflowers, 2 kinds of sage, mint, lavender, rosemary, thyme and strawberries.

Warmer weather and gardening! 1/2 cup Avocado oil (has natural SPF) 1/4 cup coconut oil (has natural SPF) 1/4 cup beeswax (adds a bit of waterproofing) 2 tablespoo. The misadventures of a crafty woman. Tuesday, June 12, 2012. To go with my toothpaste, I decided to make natural mouthwash. We used to use Listerine all of the time, but the use of mouthwash containing that much alcohol can have a drying effect. Not to mention, I don't like not really knowing what that effect of synthetic ingredients can have on our bodies. I just used an old listerine bottle to dispense it from. 2 cups of filtered water. 3 Tbsp xylitol (or to desired taste/sweetness) (or stevia).

We had driven past this trailhead many times from Rockaway to Canon Beach and it finally worked out so that we could hike the trail.
