Healthy Farming Healthy Food: Friday Night
http://healthyfarminghealthyfood.blogspot.com/2015/08/friday-night.html
Healthy Farming Healthy Food. Friday, August 7, 2015. Laura and I cooked dinner tonight - Calamari, stir fry vegies and rice. A guy from Cairns (? The exciting part about the calamari we got from this fella, is that he's keen to swap meat (pork, beef or goat) for seafood! I love that kind of trading! So, the take home message from the above discussion, is that cooking with someone else means food that is twice as yummy, and trading home grown food for seafood, is part of the sustainable goal for me!

Healthy Farming Healthy Food: May 2015
http://healthyfarminghealthyfood.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Healthy Farming Healthy Food. Sunday, May 24, 2015. I had a great afternoon yesterday in the garden! I bought some seedlings the day before and because I have had so much trouble with my chickens and turkeys, I decided that I wasn't going to plant anything out until I could poultry proof the beds. My lovely son Edmund had the day off work and had promised to help me, so with him and our pommy backpacker helper Charlie, we got a lot done! What else do I have in my garden at the moment? I've got pawpaw tha...

Healthy Farming Healthy Food: January 2015
http://healthyfarminghealthyfood.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Healthy Farming Healthy Food. Monday, January 19, 2015. We are nearing the end of a two week holiday on the Sunshine Coast.the end of a great, peaceful, refreshing, quiet time of doing a lot of nothing. We are lucky enough to have friends that have a great house and pool and who just happened to be holidaying elsewhere, so we have had the opportunity to house sit. For us, that is so much better an option than a "holiday rental" mainly due to the fact that there's a thermomix here! We've been to Sunshine ...

Healthy Farming Healthy Food: French Farewell
http://healthyfarminghealthyfood.blogspot.com/2015/07/french-farewell.html
Healthy Farming Healthy Food. Monday, July 6, 2015. Our two lovely french girls are leaving tomorrow, so tonight is a little sad! These two girls both received parcels from home while they were with us and these included some things that we had tonight as part of a farewell dinner. Foie Gras, rillette, champagne and some red wine. I was very unsure about the Foie Gras, as I really don't like the way it is produced. I was so prepared not to like it! The bread was great with the rillette. I love food - gro...

Healthy Farming Healthy Food: Sunday breakfast
http://healthyfarminghealthyfood.blogspot.com/2015/08/sunday-breakfast.html
Healthy Farming Healthy Food. Saturday, August 8, 2015. Do you have any Sunday habits? Edmund started a habit of having pancakes for breakfast on a Sunday morning. He seems to be here when I'm not but when I've been here, there has been suttle pressure for me to continue it. This is also really nice withe natural yoghurt. And yes I know it's sugar, but for an irregular thing I reckon it's okay. What do you have for breakfast on a Sunday? Fiona from Arbordale Farm. August 17, 2015 at 8:19 PM. Spinach and ...

Healthy Farming Healthy Food: Last day of our holiday
http://healthyfarminghealthyfood.blogspot.com/2015/07/last-day-of-our-holiday.html
Healthy Farming Healthy Food. Sunday, July 19, 2015. Last day of our holiday. All good things come to an end! We discovered an artisanal baker not far from here, which makes the best sourdough I have ever tasted. My goal now is to make bread as good as that! Although I must admit that I don't normally eat much bread and the first loaf we bought we ate in a day.the second loaf lasted about half a day longer! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
