A Blog about most things gaming-related in any period and scale I happen to get drawn into! Saturday, 27 December 2014. Battle at Giant´s keep; A trial game of Mayhem. Like many others, my first introduction to the hobby was Warhammer. The grand battles that played out on the pages of White Dwarf has always spoken to me, even to this day. Grand fantasy battles is therefore something that is close to my heart, even though I haven't played any games in years. From the Ashen wastes comes 2 stands of warrior...

http://lasersandbroadswords.blogspot.com/2015/08/big-stompy-robots-and-deema-fields.html
A Blog about most things gaming-related in any period and scale I happen to get drawn into! Thursday, 6 August 2015. Big stompy robots and deema fields. Like a lot of people, I like mecha of all types and sizes. But the big stompy kind is something dear to me since childhood, something quite common for someone growing up in the 80s and 90s from what I've come to understand. So a while back Reaper ran the CAV bones kickstarter, and so I had to get in on the action! Now I just had to paint some robots!

My Adventurers can be found here: Link. Currenty stuck on a sandy, somewhat unhospitable world known as Ares-2, our heroes find them-selves in an unenvious position. This planet is a dump, quite frankly, and they would like to head to one of the myriad of other worlds on the fringe. As the diplomat explained...

A Blog about most things gaming-related in any period and scale I happen to get drawn into! Monday, 27 July 2015. Expanding the real estate and some droids. My vacation tragicly over, my mantra for the last few days have been focus on THE project at hand and even though I've sidetracked some with ideas for some near-future hacker-centric gaming inspired by a post on the Delta Vector blog and also toying with ways to play more mecha games, I think I've done quite well. Built from a piece of plastic tubing...

A Blog about most things gaming-related in any period and scale I happen to get drawn into! Tuesday, 28 April 2015. Stunties, and some mecha. Lately I've been busy trying to learn sculpting, both digital and otherwise. Progress is slow, and it takes up a lot of my time, but I'm ever so slowly getting better. I also started to build a 3D-printer with a friend, leaving even less time for painting. Some things I have managed however, and I thought I'd share a few now:. That's all I had for you right now, bu...

Last week was fairly productive, both minis and terrain were painted up along with a few games during the weekend. I'll start off with some minis:. The second set is just a small squad I named the Undying Commandos&...

A Blog about most things gaming-related in any period and scale I happen to get drawn into! Monday, 26 January 2015. Tiny heroes and villians appear on the fringe. With my fantasy dungeon taking up a lot of time, I haven't been doing much exept planning, building and painting various modules and terrain for this Project. I did however finish a large batch of 6mm sci-fi and fantasy minis before I got started on my current project. There was enough of them that I decided to make 2 posts, one for each setting.

Lasers and Broadswords: Playtesting Laserstorm in 6mm

A Blog about most things gaming-related in any period and scale I happen to get drawn into! Monday, 10 August 2015. Playtesting Laserstorm in 6mm. I've been slowly getting back into some big battle sci-fi, thanks to some help from my Epic40K playing friends. I've so far not played that actual game, but I've been looking at Laserstorm, the latest game the making from Ivan over at NWG. This will mostly be a AAR, but I will endeavour to talk a bit about the mechanics as we go along. Start of turn 2. The...
