YFC Australia has over 60 years’ experience in creatively translating the Gospel for young people, while keeping our finger on the pulse of current culture. Drawing on that experience, we’ve got a number of training opportunities. Keen to spend a year getting to know more about yourself, God and engaging with other young people? If you are aged 17 21, you are invited to join one of our dynamic teams and other like-minded young people and do a YFC Internship Year. For more information, click here.

Youth for Christ Australia > Their Story > Rick's Story
http://yfc.secure-server3.com/TheirStory/RicksStory.aspx
Rick has had his life turned upside down by Jesus. Rick was one of the older teens in the Don Dale Juvenile Detention Centre in Darwin, having been caught up in a gang. He started having some God conversations with Tim Ezzy, a long-term volunteer with YFC who visits the Centre each week. Rick’s nephew was very sick, so we offered to pray for him, explains Tim. His nephew then got better so that started a conversation about Jesus.

BJ’s mother left when he was six years old. Left behind, and often caring for his disabled older brother while his father’s alcoholic binge drinking escalated, BJ plunged into depression and despair. When BJ began high school his father remarried and the physical abuse began. Afraid for his own safety, BJ approached his school guidance counsellor and explained that he no longer felt safe to be at home. BJ was taken away from his family and placed in foster care.

Eventually Epiphany decided to start a fresh relationship with Jesus and, when YFC gave her the opportunity to go on a mission trip to Vanuatu with the YFC One50 dance team, she jumped at the chance. After returning from the trip, Epiphany has been working with YFC to start a One50 dance ministry in her area.
