MVACP Hosts Counselors' Breakfast. On April 30, 2014, the Miami Valley Apprenticeship Council hosted a breakfast for high school counselors to share information about careers in the Dayton Building Trades. Apprentices learn through on the job training and classroom related technical instruction, often earning college credits, until they reach Journeyman status (generally within 4 to 5 years). A career path in the building trades can lead to Estimator, Foreman, Project Manager, and more.
