The Bar Chartist: Panda Shout Out
http://thebarchartist.blogspot.com/2015/08/panda-shout-out.html
Friday, 14 August 2015. Two wise men suggest to drop the diagonals. And I'm a young pup who can't find his way, so who am I to say? I do recognize that it's the swings that matter, though, whatever I do with my lines on Monday. I see the friggin' levels; I just have to figure out how to make money from them. In the meantime, a little eye candy for the Panda Man (The Panda Man Can! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Whats in store for next week. Making a plan, making a plan.

The Bar Chartist: Next Week
http://thebarchartist.blogspot.com/2015/08/next-week.html
Saturday, 15 August 2015. So what do I do next? I suppose a slow and steady approach is just to keep watching and annotating, but how slowly and steadily can one man possibly go? The way I see it is that I don't know what kind of trader I am. Here are the possibilities I've explored:. 1) Scalping with inverted R:R. 2) Traditional setup-based, high R:R intraday position trading. 3) Smooth as butter scale-in, scale-out trading. The Bar Chartist: August 2015
http://thebarchartist.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Monday, 31 August 2015. A great trade at the beginning with early exits, followed by some dumb shit, but I hit the goal and won't place another trade, though I might update the chart later. Saturday, 29 August 2015. Of missing it and that cost me a loss. Nothing has changed for me: the technical understanding is still pretty sound, and I've had good little runs before. The question is whether I can be focused and disciplined and avoid freaking out over a long enough time horizon. Friday, 28 August 2015.

The Bar Chartist: July 2015
http://thebarchartist.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, 30 July 2015. I most likely won't be able to trade tomorrow, but we'll see. Tuesday, 28 July 2015. Couldn't trade much in the morning. Traded around a position in the afternoon for a small loss. Monday, 27 July 2015. Sunday, 26 July 2015. Wednesday, 22 July 2015. Tuesday, 21 July 2015. Cutting myself short again and underperforming on a pretty easy day. Monday, 20 July 2015. Saturday, 18 July 2015. The best two weeks of the project so far, erasing about half of the temper tantrum. I only tr...

The Bar Chartist: January 2015
http://thebarchartist.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, 31 January 2015. Here's the month's day trading. The trade stats are just from after I started trading the M6E. Each contract is a trade. Friday, 30 January 2015. Minus 36 today. A series of just barely bad decisions today led to a climactic revenge trade that ruined what could've been a bad but salvageable day and wiped out the profit for the week. Chart first, and then commentary:. 8) Instead of having made my day with a solid trade, I just mismanaged a trade that I displayed ample patience o...

The Bar Chartist: March 2015
http://thebarchartist.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 31 March 2015. Why I took only one trade today. There are of course some stats from my trading to back up the decision to stop: early exits precipitate bad trades and have been directly implicated in blow-up days. I also needed to reenforce that breaking my intentions is a punishable offence. But there's something more. Yesterday I was checking to see if George had returned to the BUYDEMANDSELLSUPPLY. Blog (glad to see you back today! This is why not trading. Monday, 30 March 2015. It wasn't eas...

The Bar Chartist: 08-05-15
http://thebarchartist.blogspot.com/2015/08/08-05-15.html
Wednesday, 5 August 2015. I'm just erratic as hell. The adding didn't do anything for me but turn 15-30 point winners into scratch wins. I saw us get below yesterday's low and accept, so I thought we'd range down there, with at least one more trip across for me to cash out on. Instead, after clawing my way back to even with the good short trade, I gave it back and ended up down. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Whats in store for next week. The Bar Chartist: 08-14-15 (charting)
http://thebarchartist.blogspot.com/2015/08/08-14-15-charting.html
Friday, 14 August 2015. Slow, low volume range day today. I didn't think of this at the time, but should've extended the range from 390 to 410 once price accepted the midpoint around noon. I had to step out at around 2:00 pm. Here's what the market looked like then:. And then at the close:. 14 August 2015 at 15:17. 14 August 2015 at 15:45. He beat me too it. I stopped using diagonal lines once I realized that the actual point of importance was the price points I was drawing the diagonal lines through.
