Saturday night we went down to the beach and had a small fire. It's amazing the number of sand fleas that decide to head towards the warmth of the fire. They end up turning a nice red colour like cooked shrimp. I didn't try any but I'm sure they would taste good as well. On our walk we also ran into a far that had Emus. Last day in Feb.

So on Sept 23rd we piled Barb, Maura, myself and Barb's friend from Calgary, Dale, into my car and headed north up the island and then cut west to land ourselves in Tofino! Here is the wonderful campsite that we found under moonlight. The campsite was right across the bay from Uculete, which was really nice actually. This is a place for David Cardew to communicate with friends and family. Wednesday, January 18, 2006. When we arrived in Guatemala my bag managed to find a way to stay in Houston. Since we were boarding the boat the next morning, there was no time for my bag to arrive before we went off sailing for a week. This is Barb wandering around Rio Dulce helping me buy some clothes. This is the boat, Las Serinas, that we would spend the next 7 days on, with my whole family! Here is the first sunset on the boat.

After getting back from Tofino we barely had time to do laundry before Barb and I piled back into my car and headed off to Whistler to meet the parents. Luckily for me her dad didn't work for the FBI and didn't put me through a lie-detector test. But I would have passed anyways! There are some amazing views along the drive, like this one of some mountain hidden by clouds.
