Songs to sing and tales to tell: August 2006
http://kcpanek.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
Songs to sing and tales to tell. Thursday, August 24, 2006. A big crucifix around their necks, ringing bells, and spewing chicha. However peculiar the people’s beliefs are to us, the people exhibit a kind of sincere devotion we could all learn something from. God is great, and as much as we try to describe, understand, and get to know Him, the totality of His infinite love is bigger than any box we could try to fit Him into. Couldn’t there also be an infinite number of ways to experience His love? In mas...

Songs to sing and tales to tell: January 2007
http://kcpanek.blogspot.com/2007_01_01_archive.html
Songs to sing and tales to tell. Wednesday, January 24, 2007. One of the toughest things about being a teacher is never knowing what our students really get out of our classes, and we just have to have faith that somebody learns something from us, and if they learn something about life rather than about the subject I am teaching, then all the better. 1 What is your mailing address? C/o Padre René Cardozo. I love getting mail, so write often! 2 How did you decide to go there? 3 Who are you helping? Of cou...

Margs (is home) from Managua. Life as a Jesuit Volunteer in Managua, Nicaragua. Saturday, November 17, 2007. Encounter With St. Ignatius. At the end of every month, we have what is called Convivencia (meaning "living together"), a mini-retreat where all of my co-workers gather to reflect on a specific theme of Faith/Religion/the Bible. It is usually not the most preferred Sunday. Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam! Below are some photos from our some academy-award winning performance. Margaret K. Nuzzolese.

Margs (is home) from Managua. Life as a Jesuit Volunteer in Managua, Nicaragua. Wednesday, May 28, 2008. Long Live the Women! This month in the banks, we made a dream come true. We had an encounter on May 18. In which we gathered all of the women from the 7 different mini-banks for a “conference” of sorts; something the bank team has been idealizing for awhile. Silvio, Grety and I worked very hard prior to the event as there was so much to organize. I loved being a part of celebrating these women. Just a...

Songs to sing and tales to tell: September 2006
http://kcpanek.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
Songs to sing and tales to tell. Tuesday, September 19, 2006. So two Sundays ago I accompanied Omar, one of the Jesuit novices, to the rural community of Chapapani for a eucharistic celebration. The community is about a 45 minute walk into the campo from Tiraque. We arrived to find villagers waiting outside the little chapel for the celebration to begin. Many of them had themselves walked a considerable distance from outer reaches of the community. Blessed are you who are poor, for the Kingdom of God is ...

Margs (is home) from Managua. Life as a Jesuit Volunteer in Managua, Nicaragua. Tuesday, June 30, 2009. Greetings from Washington, DC, where I am trying to establish a new home! Since Nicaragua, I have been from NY to Boston, LA, and DC, Hawaii, Micronesia, Guam, and back, and I am settling down finally in the capitol of the US of A. Saw President Barack the other day on the back porch (of the White House)! It should be a fun and inspiring time to be together again. Margaret K. Nuzzolese. My blog was sta...
