Friday, June 15, 2012. Week 2 Run 1. Week 2, Run 1. Well I did it. That's about the best thing I have to say about the big run today! 90 seconds of running and 2 minutes of walking for 2 miles. Don't know if those extra 30 seconds were what made it harder or that I hadn't drank much of anything today, or it was the afternoon and a balmy 75, but today I was gasping the whole way. Most definitely wasn't a prance and appreciate the Mountain and all of Oregon's splendor kind of run! Home Musings on week 2.

It's not too cold outside, but at least it's not raining. The sky is cloudy so it's a toss up if I make it the 2 miles before a downpour. The heat in Texas for the 17 years I lived there made the outdoor activities I claim to enjoy nearly impossible. Monday, June 11, 2012. Week 1 Run 3. Bouncing boobs, I nearly pranced the 2 miles without much gasping whatsoever. And I was rewarded with shockingly stunning glimpses of Mt. Hood and the greenest of green terrain ever to be seen. Also got to see gorgeous peonies (my new favorite flower! And roses and many other flowers I don't know the name of. Monday, June 11, 2012. Week 1 Run 2. She hates to run too so I feel a little better about it all. And aside from slowing down to tie her shoes again and swinging around a few poles she does a great job of keeping pace with me. Then in the middle of our first 90 second walk it starts to sprinkle. Actually feels kind of good! What the heck, aren't we the true Oregonians just strollin in the rain? I'm not gonna lie. I don't enjoy running in the rain. But I did it!
