Nationals Pastime: This spanking didn't hurt...
http://dchardball.blogspot.com/2005/04/this-spanking-didnt-hurt.html
Sunday, April 10, 2005. This spanking didn't hurt. Oh, he just got his first out. About time. I'm glad Robinson is leaving him in to mop up his own mess, instead of taking it out on the rest of the bullpen. Anyway, Armas is making progress. And is soon to throw in a minor league game. Let's hope that when he comes back, they send down Osuna and his 42 ERA. He seems highly likely to clear waivers at this point. Posted by John @ 2:24 PM. Nationals news and statistical analysis. Nationals Pastime: Tonight's the night
http://dchardball.blogspot.com/2005/04/tonights-night.html
Thursday, April 14, 2005. Anyway, pictures will probably show up tomorrow. Posted by John @ 5:35 AM. Should competitors" - strike that, reverse it. Greg K from Boston. Even those of us in Boston are excited about opening night in DC. I hope RFK is up for it. Very disappointed that there is no national television of the game (on basic cable). If ESPN covered the first exhibition game (which was fun), why not cover the first real home game? Does any one know what's up with The Nationals TV situation? David...

Nationals Pastime: Today's exhibition
http://dchardball.blogspot.com/2005/04/todays-exhibition.html
Sunday, April 03, 2005. Well, the season is upon us, and today is our first chance to check out RFK ourselves. I'll be taking my youngest daughter, who is almost 4. I'll be bringing my camera, so I will post pictures tonight. Edit (9PM): apparently, Blogger is very broken for me, and this post never published. I'm trying to get any post to publish. I have one with my pictures that appears lost to the ages. Posted by John @ 7:00 AM. Nationals news and statistical analysis. The official Nationals site.

Nationals Pastime: Armas injuried already
http://dchardball.blogspot.com/2005/03/armas-injuried-already.html
Monday, March 28, 2005. Tony Armas, Jr. pitched only one inning yesterday, after a groin strain. He claims it is minor, and that his leaving the game is precautionary. But it could be a few days until there's a real assessment of how bad it is. Armas sure doesn't need this right now. It's his contract year, and he needs to create some value for himself, overcoming the perception that he's rediculously injury prone. Posted by John @ 6:01 AM. Nationals Pastime: Not so Amazin'...
http://dchardball.blogspot.com/2005/04/not-so-amazin.html
Sunday, April 10, 2005. Batting title, here Guzman comes! His defense certainly stunk up the joint, and was responsible for Livan's unearned run. Now what about the Mets. 0 for 5? Posted by John @ 10:05 AM. 15 Ks for Smolz so far in a 1-0 game. And after the Nats took the series from Philly, the ballplayers of brotherly love turn around and go toe to toe with St. Louis - they're up 5-0 looking for the Series win right now. (Close game friday pm, Philly creamed the cards on sat). I've stumbled across your...

Nationals Pastime: Today's game
http://dchardball.blogspot.com/2005/04/todays-game.html
Thursday, April 07, 2005. Guillen has looked pretty good today. He hit a line drive to center field that took a sharp bounce past Lofton. Guillen legged out a triple, then scored on a Nick Johnson ground out to tie the game. Wilkerson is 3-4 so far, and is batting .615 through the first three games. Castilla hasn't looked that good at the plate, but it's just one game. Guzman is hitless so far, and is .154 over the first three games. Castilla is definitely today's goat. Nick Johnson just got on with ...

Nationals Pastime: MRI for Vidro
http://dchardball.blogspot.com/2005/03/mri-for-vidro.html
Friday, March 18, 2005. Vidro is going in for an MRI today. On his hyper-extended elbow. It looks like he may not be ready for opening day. Let's hope it's not much worse than that. Nationals Pastime: Opening remarks still pending
http://dchardball.blogspot.com/2005/04/opening-remarks-still-pending.html
Tuesday, April 05, 2005. Opening remarks still pending. I spent the day yesterday on the bus with the Nats Fan Club, going to opening day in Philly. I had a great time, despite the loss. And I took a ton of pictures. I'll try to have another photo essay up in about 24 hours, and make some comments about what I saw. Posted by John @ 10:07 AM. I wonder if Schneider was looking over his shoulder and wondering why no one was up in the bullpen. This lose falls on Frank Robinson. The official Nationals site.

Nationals Pastime: Crummy deal
http://dchardball.blogspot.com/2005/04/crummy-deal.html
Friday, April 01, 2005. No, I'm not talking about any trade that Bowden may or may not have in the works. I'm talking about the television deal. I find this personally disheartening, but I'll spare you a longer rant. Posted by John @ 4:25 AM. Excellent site. I have subscribed to you on Bloglines and check it daily. Keep up ther good work!
