My Mom Goes to College: Ode to Spring
http://mycourtneyaho.blogspot.com/2011/04/ode-to-spring.html
My Mom Goes to College. Monday, April 11, 2011. I hate it in Utah every spring. The weather does this funny thing. It really drives me up the wall. Each day I'm thrown a new curve ball. One day it's warm, the sun is out. It makes me want to play and shout. I ride my bike through the streets. Out in the yard I stop to sleep. The next day is cold, the wind is blowing. Next thing you know it's started snowing. The winter coat must come back out. And on my face you'll find a pout. I long for summer oh so bad.

My Mom Goes to College: Invoking Personal Change
http://mycourtneyaho.blogspot.com/2011/04/invoking-personal-change.html
My Mom Goes to College. Thursday, April 7, 2011. Think about the impact your words may have. You are carrying a powerful weapon, one that can bring both joy and pain. If your aim is not for love, are you really intending to spread more hate? What kind of world do you want to help build? I would like a world where you live next door to me and Lanee lives on the other side. Then we would all sing our positivity together. Please make this happen. Immediately. April 26, 2011 at 4:13 PM. A True Account of It.

Heather brought th...

Always on the brink of insanity. Friday, December 2, 2011. We were invited to go trick-or-treating with Layla's friend Ashley and her family. Ashley goes to Layla's school and is on her soccer team, and was her BFF-du-jour in late October. And lucky for us her family lives in the BEST HALLOWEEN NEIGHBORHOOD EVER. Seriously. Hopefully by the time they are old enough to read this they will have forgotten that none of them actually ate any full-size candy bars. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). 3 boyz and a babe.

Lunatic Fringe: January 2012
http://angelica-lunaticfringe.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Always on the brink of insanity. Wednesday, January 25, 2012. Better late than never. The house in Palo Alto I want to live in when we have a gagillion dollars. When I saw it I knew that either Cinderella or Martha Stewart had to live there. And yes, that is a mango tree. Dylan trying desperately to get at the plate of pumpkin chocolate chip cookies that Lanee made. Five seconds after I took this picture I turned around and Lanee gave her her third cookie of the night. Her towel-bib doubles as a cape.

My Mom Goes to College: October 2009
http://mycourtneyaho.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
My Mom Goes to College. Sunday, October 25, 2009. The world transformed, a magical place. A fairy world of autumn hues. Undiscovered secrets ‘neath falling leaves. I let the colors be my muse. If you listen hard enough you can hear. The wind blows gently through my hair. Whispering secrets in my ear. A peaceful silence fills the air. I could lie on this cold ground forever. The leaves crunch playfully under feet. A chilly breeze caresses my skin. In my secret world we’ll meet. Mother Nature begs to stay.

My Mom Goes to College. Wednesday, November 11, 2009. Quote of the Day. Dangit Half Pint, I just like you! It's too bad your not a man.". My gay friend Michael Berry. It's the little things. Monday, November 9, 2009. I need to meet new people. Some days I get really bad anxiety that I am wasting my life. I don’t understand why life has gotten less fun with age. And to think that I grew up with the opposite impression. Can it be that the best days of my life are already behind me? So where should I begin?

Lunatic Fringe: July 2011

Always on the brink of insanity. Thursday, July 28, 2011. We Love San Diego. If Legoland and Disneyland got in a fight, Legoland would be the scrappy little guy that no one thinks stands a chance. Then, as soon as they get down to it, Legoland is faster, smarter and obviously more concerned with winning the fight than landing the first punch. Before he knows it, Disneyland is flat on his back with a bloody nose. Including bathrooms, snacks and souvenirs. Weston meets Bob the Builder. Layla and Darth Vader.

Lunatic Fringe: June 2012
http://angelica-lunaticfringe.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Always on the brink of insanity. Friday, June 29, 2012. Christmas with the Hatches. In late October Ryan said to me, "We really need to do a better job of decorating the house for the holidays. For the kids. It really makes them excited and gets them in the spirit.". In a very cute font. I carved a few pumpkins and set out some Halloween-inspired picture frames that I whipped up, then sat back and admired my work. The kids thought it was awesome and I got a pat on the back from Ryan. She was a beaut....
