Wednesday, September 30, 2009. A Visit from a REAL Fairy. Warning: Pictures of Grace's mouth to follow! Imagine my concern though that the tooth fairy would be visiting our house so unexpectedly- I mean, I absolutely was not ready to welcome her to our home yet! She ran downstairs and launched herself off the coffee table, only to fall to the ground in a heap. Her response? Ahhh, bummer. That didn't work! Saturday, September 26, 2009. Happy Birthday to You. Grace tells everyone that she is six when they ...

Based on a True Story: Confession Time Again...
http://based-onatruestory.blogspot.com/2010/02/confession-time-again.html
Wednesday, February 24, 2010. Grace came to me with that look of guilt written all over her face, and I knew she was about to confess a wrongdoing. I said, Meanie, meanie coco leanie hanging on a ugly wu-wu-wu-weenie." (she whispered weenie with complete and utter shame in her voice). I had to try my hardest not to laugh. I then discussed with her that we shouldn't use words that refer to private parts of the body. So maybe we shouldn't say that any more. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

He is an amazing father who makes time for tea parties, hide and seek, and storytime. He enjoys sports of all kinds-soccer, football, basketball, running. He is quiet, humble, funny, and just plain loveable. Claira is our extremely energetic 4-year old. She is full of smiles and all things happy and wonderful! Adam and Emma Calvert. Saturday, March 20, 2010. What does that even mean? I too wondered as I typed in my ode to St. Patrick's Day title so I turned to the best source for information on the web- Wikipedia. Apparently it means "Irish Forever". So here's to the Irish forever. Green, green, green everything. Corned Beef and Cabbage. And lots of mischief from that little Leprechaun (who of course happens to be a girl leprechaun at our house). We didn't catch a real leprechaun- only chocolate ones, but that works for me.

Monday, November 30, 2009. Just some additional catch-up so I can focus on holiday preps and not feel guilty over an out-of-date blog. In 'n Out Field Trip:. Grace's 1st Grade class went on a field trip to In 'n Out Burger in November. I of course found it necessary to drive, and it was so much fun. The kids each got to chop their own potato for their fresh french fries, and then everyone- yes, I said EVERYONE. Got to order a meal- burger, fries, and a drink for free. Friday, November 27, 2009. Crayons a...

Thursday, June 18, 2009. This is the little favor we gave to Grace's classmates (its made with a roll of lifesavers). The last day of school was busy, but fun. Claira and I spent the morning with Grace at school for the kindergarten party. Claira was perfectly happy to have a bag of popcorn and sit in the stroller. Such a good girl! Grace had fun doing all the activities and games with her friends. The only boy (Kyle) to kiss Grace this year (it was only on the hand, but Grace was appalled). Is Grace goi...

Friday, July 24, 2009. Something Old and Something New. The past couple of months have proved to be somewhat of a challenge for me as I have dealt with severe. Neck and shoulder pain that keeps me from being able to spend any significant time on the computer. I haven't been able to write blogs, read blogs,. This one truly proves how bad the pain actually is). Check e-mails regularly, etc. Thank you cards from Jesus. The other day while riding in the car, Grace and I had this conversation:. A festive and ...

Based on a True Story: August 2009
http://based-onatruestory.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 26, 2009. PS After school, we got Grace's hair cut. I changed my request for 5 inches off to 3 inches when I realized how short it would be if we took off 5 inches. So apparently the hairstylist decided to compromise by cutting off 7 inches. WHAT? Luckily, Grace loves it. She even prayed the first night that her hair would stay like this for a long time- well, with as short as it is, I am pretty sure it will. It's super cute though, and healthy as can be.
