디스플레이소자 연구실

OLED 패널은 전극에 의한 빛의 반사를 방지하고 야외 시인성을 높이기 위해서 원형 편광판을 사용한다. 하지만 소자에서 발광한 빛이 원형 편광판을 통과할 때 밝기가 약 50% 감소하며 이를 개선하기 위한 다양한 연구가 시도되고 있다. 본 연구팀은 소량의 Chiral 분자를 고분자 OLED 발광층에 첨가해 원형편광성이 높은 빛을 생성하도록 고안했다. 현재 학계 최고수치인 g-factor 1.13(원편광비 3.61:1)을 달성 했고 기존 구조보다 광효율을 60% 높였다.
