N'awlins at heart: July 2007

http://nawlinsatheart.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html

Tuesday, July 31, 2007. Bad Boys Bad Boys, whatcha gonna do. So that was basically the highlight of my day. One thing I did appreciate on the way home though, I didn't feel quite as invisible on the bike as I usually do. Something about riding behind a police motorcycle gave me the feeling that people probably noticed me today. Posted by H1 @ 7:55 PM. Links to this post. Monday, July 23, 2007. The 7th time's a charm? Okay, 2 weekends ago I went out with a friend of mine at his first Mardi Gras. And somewhere throughout the night I blacked out. I know you can. Lets label it a "Wake up call". It just sounds better. Thursday, December 28, 2006. I figured, why not jump on that bandwagon. Then, shortly afterwards, neglect my blog and keep everyone waiting. Eh, why not, right? Hee Hee, okay, seriously, I will attempt to keep up with it as long as I have something to write about. And when I don't, well, I guess you are on your own. Posted by H1 @ 9:54 PM. Tuesday, June 26, 2007. Life's a garden. Dig it! Long time no type. Yeah, I know, I know. It's been a while, but we all realize this. Oh well, deal with it. So, what has been going on? Other than that not a lot of things have been going on. Last weekend a co-worker gave us a La-Z-Boy. Recliner. It is oversized and awesome. It is extremely comfortable. That's right, he gave us a recliner, and an exercise bike. Can you guess which one will get used more often? PS The post title comes from Joe Dirt. Not too...

Monday, October 22, 2007. That's right kids, lock up your junk. Sunday W1 and I decided to have James Coney Island. For lunch. Traveling up Westheimer, we got to a red light. It happened to be right next to a Starbucks. As we're waiting for the light to turn a guy pulls up and parks in an Acuta. This thing was the definition of hooptie. Yeah, I know, 1999 called, they want their TV series back). So we're a little behind the times. W1 and I did have a wonderful lunch Saturday too. I think it is due to...

Friday, August 24, 2007. Wednesday Morning. It's gonna be a beautiful day. So after I finished loading the bike and strapping it down, I started to tie the ramp to the bed of the truck. Just so it wouldn't blow away. That's when the emergency rescue guy shows up to see if I needed any help. Nice job Chief. Where were you an hour ago? Actually he said he would have been there sooner but an 18 wheeler collided with an SUV a mile or so up the road, so he had to clean that up first. Posted by H1 @ 5:24 PM.

Monday, March 26, 2007. Interesting is as interesting does. Sunday morning, I got up, took a shower, had a DELICIOUS breakfast courtesy of ChiaPop, then headed to the Airport. After a short flight I was happy to see W1's smiling face. We grabbed some food and went home for a few hours nap. Woke up and watch some TV until way too late. Then back to work this morning for the start of a new work week. And that's how it goes. Posted by H1 @ 2:24 PM. Links to this post. Tuesday, March 20, 2007. Okay, well, I'...

Sunday, April 29, 2007. How fast was I going? The online calculator says that just the sprocket change, not even taking "factory speedo error", puts my speedometer at 12.1% error. (See, I knew I was right.) For around $100 this thing plugs right in and fixes the inaccuracy. I think I may look into this. W1 and I went to see Charlie Murphy. Last night. He was hilarious. Thursday, January 25, 2007. Hey, weight for me. Well, hopefully my 9 hour days this week will pay off tomorrow. I did it so I could have a half day on Friday and get an early start on the road to New Orleans. H2 is back in the hospital from his 3rd surgery. (Simple procedure my ass). I am looking forward to going back and visiting. It's been a few weeks and I'll admit I miss it. The food, the smell, family (the smell of the family? Everything. And BIL is cooking steaks!
