Taking Up The Challenge: 2012-10
http://victorkoo.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Taking Up The Challenge. My answer to a colleague's challenge for this old dog (that's me) to blog. I hope I've proven that 'every old dog could do a good blog'. Old Singapore Quiz (25) - Old Road in 1930s. I received this email on 24 Oct 2012 from a UK gentleman by the name of Mr Peter Howard:. I stumbled across your blog when looking for old photos of Singapore. My father went to work in Singapore in the thirties before the Second World War, for the British government I believe. I did a bit of research...

Taking Up The Challenge. My answer to a colleague's challenge for this old dog (that's me) to blog. I hope I've proven that 'every old dog could do a good blog'. A screen grab from the film The Last Communist which is l. Oosely based on the autobiography of Chin Peng, the legendary Malayan communist guerrilla leader. COMPULSIVE MANIC: January 2010
http://compulsivemanic.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
The musings and rantings of my soul. Monday, January 4, 2010. New Year, New Post. Dusting the cobwebs off this blog. I only had 2 posts for the whole of 2009. Writing, other than for work has always been therapeutic, less fattening than baking and eating and not damaging to the wallet like retail adventures. Should I unlock this blog? I had to lock it up for various reasons.some of which haven't entirely gone away.Decisions decisions.yet another decision to confront this 4th day of 2010.

COMPULSIVE MANIC: Observations on SMRT 960
http://compulsivemanic.blogspot.com/2009/02/observations-on-smrt-960.html
The musings and rantings of my soul. Thursday, February 12, 2009. Observations on SMRT 960. Now that I have become a parent, I have started thinking about imparting values to my daughter. These include the simplest of things such as etiquette to intrinsic things such as being a good person. Good being relative of course. I've even wondered whether she'll pick up the habit of picking her nose in public! Such satisfaction derived from a big nugget from her delicate nostrils! Observations on SMRT 960.

COMPULSIVE MANIC: October 2008
http://compulsivemanic.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
The musings and rantings of my soul. Tuesday, October 14, 2008. Yet I look at family and friends who have so much passion and faith and feel as if maybe if I pray more or be more fervent and regular in going to church, things will work out for the best. Yet something in me also finds that so wrong, as if I were making use of God. All I know right now is I am facing a very difficult situation, a big cross and I really hope for a miracle at this very moment or else I really don;t know what else to do.

COMPULSIVE MANIC: Hanging up the boots
http://compulsivemanic.blogspot.com/2008/08/hanging-up-boots.html
The musings and rantings of my soul. Wednesday, August 20, 2008. Hanging up the boots. Been ages since I updated. So much has happened since February 2008. So much more will be happening. Today was a day that has left me so frustrated that I want to scream, shout and have all this anguish going on. Work and personal stuff weighing heavily on my mind. Remember the 'Merry-go-rounds' at the playgrounds and how one is anxious to get off when the neighbourhood bully holds you hostage? Hanging up the boots.

There is a house in Punggol | Deadpoet's Cave
https://acroamatic.wordpress.com/2006/05/05/there-is-a-house-in-punggol
Heritage, tech, cycling. There is a house in Punggol. Friday, 5 May 2006. 8230; which will not be upgraded. I came across this photo via Photoblogs.org. It is absolutely stunning. When it came up in my feedreader, I was blown away. I hadn’t realised it was a local photo until I looked at the title of the post. It’s strangely appropriate that I stumbled upon this photo a couple of days before the Singapore General Elections. A lone house standing up to numbing, dumbing progress. Search online for one.

My Spiritual Journal: It is Me lah!
http://schwiing.blogspot.com/2011/04/it-is-me-lah.html
Just a small effort on my part to keep track of this journey I've begun to get closer to God. So stuff like my tues reflections, inspiring homilies, talks that i attend. and hopefully, how I experience God in my daily life. Wednesday, April 27, 2011. It is Me lah! Yesterday's reading ( Jn 20:11-18. About Mary Magdalene's encounter with the Risen Lord reminded me of my experience at this year's Easter Vigil. Mary would probably have known that Jesus had said that he would rise on the third day. I knew...
