Undivided Devotion: rain clouds & thunder
http://undivideddevotion.blogspot.com/2015/01/rain-clouds-thunder.html
Rain clouds and thunder. I was flying to Kauai, for a mental health break. Flight paid for by colleague-friends who recognized I needed some much needed breathing space before returning to my home and work overseas. We took off from Portland, the rain and the muck. And it was really coming down. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). FAQs about Sign Language Bible Translation. FAQs about Deaf Culture. Video: Sign Language Bible Story Translation - Kenya. Reading bits and pieces of Jim Elliot's journals . and this morning's. man. this sends me to, and keeps me on, my knees. Dependency: the issue in missions. You, Westerners, you know how to minister from strength, but you don't know how to minister from weakness. So it makes those of us who are weak. it makes it very difficult for us to partner with you.". I stood a mendicant [beggar] of God, before His royal throne;. And begged Him for a priceless gift that I could call my own. He gave the gift, but as I would depart,. I cried, "But, Lord, this is a thorn, and it has pierced my heart! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Ethiopia, I applaud you. Ethiopian drivers are incredible! Truly big truck crowds into your lane almost crushing you. No need to panic. A polite, brief "beep" is all you need for them to apologetically swing back and wait for you to pass. Pedestrian walks out in front of you? It's ok, they have the right of way. Take it in stride, just don't hit them. Give them their space. No traffic light? It is unlike any other place I've ever visited. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). FAQs about Deaf Culture. American Mini...

If you have men who will only come if they know there is a good road, I don't want them. I want men who will come if there is no road at all. Undivided Devotion: a decade of (single) ministry: standing at the edge of what's familiar

A decade of (single) ministry: standing at the edge of what's familiar. Someone once said the present is really just a thin line which is constantly translating the future into the past. I was single, and they knew I needed them. I love my fiance. More than any person on this planet. I am SUPER excited about the journey that lies ahead, and having him be the one at my side to walk the way with me. the ups and downs. TOGETHER. As I said. I am excited. It is right, and good. Hopes Fears. Dreams. Revelations. Desires that you've pushed away, out of sight. Unbidden. come rising to the surface. I want to write. But more than that, I want my life to matter. I want to write things that matter. I have MUCH to learn.

Undivided Devotion: sunrises whisper hope
http://undivideddevotion.blogspot.com/2015/01/sunrises-whisper-hope.html
For as long as I can remember, I have loved sunrise. From the time I was only 6 years old, getting up at 5:30am with my maternal grandpa – hearing him making coffee in the kitchen (though it was hot cocoa with marshmallows for me). To crawling out of bed, wiping sleep from my eyes, for early morning fishing trips leaving the house at 6am with my dad and older brother. Sunrises… early morning… soothes my soul and whispers through my spirit of new life and hope. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Video: S...
