My Little Empty Nest: Christmas Letter 2012
http://mylittleemptynest.blogspot.com/2012/12/christmas-letter-2012.html
My Little Empty Nest. Thursday, December 6, 2012. Okay, I decided that I should put SOMETHING recent here! Hopefully, it will inspire me to begin writing again! Merry Christmas 2012 Cris Exodus 3:18 “let us go, we beseech thee, three days’ journey into the wilderness” …Okay, it was really more than three weeks’ journey! Cris rode his KLR (motorcycle) solo to the Arctic Circle above the Yukon, and then south and west to Alaska. He’s already planning his next adventure! And then more school! Jesslyn Isaiah...

My Little Empty Nest: May 2010
http://mylittleemptynest.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
My Little Empty Nest. Monday, May 10, 2010. Ain't Life An Adventure? I've just been thinking about life a lot this week. It has been two years now since first I was diagnosed and then my sister Susan was diagnosed with breast cancer. This followed on the heels of our cousin, Paige being diagnosed with it a couple of months before me. This week, my youngest sister, Becky, has been waiting for the results of a biopsy to see if she has breast cancer. We found out today that it is benign. Yay!

The Road Less Traveled: October 2011
http://bestenlehnerfam.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
The Road Less Traveled. David and I have been married for 24 years and have 5 of the most amazing kids ever. We live in a small town in Eastern Utah and feel very blessed. Our lives have not always turned out the way we expected but we have placed them in the hands of the Lord and He has led us down the road less traveled. That truly has made all the difference. Monday, October 10, 2011. Just a Little Bump in the Road. I can't remember if I posted in here about David's calling. I am so grateful to my Hea...

Call it a clan, call it a network, call it a tribe, call it a family: Whatever you call it, whoever you are, you need one. - Jane Howard. Wednesday, April 28, 2010. Jacob just turned 9. He was born the same day the Palmyra Temple was dedicated. I went into hard labor during sacrament meeting at church. I am just grateful that my water didn't break. Jacob is my helper. He loves to please people and to help them. Who couldn't love a kid that volunteers to clean the stove without pay? Sunday, April 18, 2010.

Wow, it has been 3 1/2 months since I have written. We are all alive and kicking, but busy. First of all what has been up with me. Well I have lost 70 pounds in that 3 1/2 months! Yes it is true. It has been a long road. I decided to have weight loss surgery, gastric bypass. I had surgery on Jan 12, 2010. Before picture - January 11, 2010. THURS...

Christiansen Clan: What do you stand for?
http://mathewchristie.blogspot.com/2011/03/what-do-you-stand-for.html
Call it a clan, call it a network, call it a tribe, call it a family: Whatever you call it, whoever you are, you need one. - Jane Howard. Monday, March 7, 2011. What do you stand for? Every morning as my kids are walking out the door, I tell them "Remember who you are and what you stand for". Today was no different, except Sarah stepped back around the corner and said "I only stand for the pledge of allegiance"! What do you stand for? Awesome. What a delight Sarah is to you! Saturday, April 24, 2010. Graduation, Birthday, and Baked Beans! Today the Burdicks got together to celebrate Maren's graduation from BYU and Dad's upcoming birthday. The families of Carol, Leisa, David and Becky were in attendance, but we missed Susan and her family! The kids enjoyed playing Carol's party games: Photo Scavenger Hunt, Musical Hats, and a gift exchange. Of course, when we get together, we have to eat too much food! Hard Rock BBQ Beans. 2 cans pinto beans (15 oz. each) with liquid. Create ...

My Little Empty Nest: Okay, How dumb is this?
http://mylittleemptynest.blogspot.com/2010/01/okay-how-dumb-is-this.html
My Little Empty Nest. Tuesday, January 5, 2010. Okay, How dumb is this? Okay, really. I think about my blog all the time. I have so many ideas about what to write about on my blog. I take pictures to put on my blog. So, why don't I ever get it done? I think I must be making it too hard on myself. Maybe it is better to write shorter, random posts, than wait and plan for the spectacular posts with pictures and well thought out musings. One of those trips that never seem to end. I always enjoy being there.
