But these were accolades I couldn't be more proud of, and my school leader and other colleagues finally knew who I was (Yes, some of them were calling me by the wrong name even up till last year! Saturday, December 7, 2013. The most difficult thing I've had to deal with this year was probably the 'loss' of the presence of two people who were very dear to me. Not so much a physical absence but the absence of emotional support, the diminishing of close ties, the knowing that I could no longer count on both of them to be there for me no matter what.
