Humble Magnificent: September 2009
http://humblemagnifcent.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 30 September 2009. Today I feel philosophical. Today I feel anxious. Today I feel, perhaps more than usual, that I hope this. Something unattainable is now within reach. I do not fear it but I am cautious. The future has always seemed to me a planned path, a fixed destination. Of late this no longer appears true. It is exciting and liberating. My firm held truths are being blown away as I step out from the shelter in which I have hitherto spent my life. The breeze blows away my tangled cobwebs.

Humble Magnificent: November 2009
http://humblemagnifcent.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Monday, 30 November 2009. How cute are these items of Bunny Jewellery? Both are available from Rabidfox. I love Neil Gaiman (and the books he writes too obv). This picture is really good. Makes me giggle, a lot. Hope you had a super weekend. Links to this post. Thursday, 26 November 2009. By: Thomas Hardy (1840-1928). LEANT upon a coppice gate. When Frost was spectre-gray,. And Winter's dregs made desolate. The weakening eye of day. The tangled bine-stems scored the sky. Like strings of broken lyres,.

Vicious Circles: June 2010
http://bloresrazor.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 12, 2010. For over a decade now, the summer has started with a night of dance. Two nights, actually, if you count the dress rehearsal. The bitter cold auditorium filled to capacity to watch the multitude of dresses and music and choreography. But no matter how many people are on stage. I only have eyes for you. And I love you all the more for it. Thursday, June 3, 2010. Then came a horrific crash which sounded like thunder, but in my room. I threw on some shorts and ran down the hall t...

Vicious Circles: Silence
http://bloresrazor.blogspot.com/2011/03/silence.html
Monday, March 28, 2011. There is a beauty in silence. A profound tranquility that comes upon us as we sit out among nature, or hide away in our secret cloister. This silence is one that must be sought after. It does not come to us unbidden any longer. There is too much noise. Too many competing points of view bidding for our time. I can see the Grinch in my head with drum sticks beating on each side, and “Noise, noise, noise, noise…”. Ringing in my own eardrums. I am complicit in this subjugation, however.

Wherein Lies Your Woe, Wombat?: New Year's Eats
http://whereinliesyourwoewombat.blogspot.com/2012/12/new-years-eats.html
Wherein Lies Your Woe, Wombat? Monday, December 31, 2012. Having a characteristic lack of par-tay invitations to see off 2012, I instead decided to content myself with baking. I rarely get to do it and New Year’s Eve, being such a long night, seems like the right night to tackle a large-scale bake-a-thon in my teeny-tiny kitchen. That, and I am in need of lunches for the remainder of the week. Pumpkin pasties. (That’s PAH-sties, not PAY-sties. Get yer mind out of the gutter.). It would be whimsical!

Wherein Lies Your Woe, Wombat?: April 2010
http://whereinliesyourwoewombat.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Wherein Lies Your Woe, Wombat? Thursday, April 22, 2010. Brevity is the Soul of Wit. Barnes and Noble is dangerous ground for me. So much so that I’ve laid down cardinal rules that I follow always (almost). Rule #1: Never go unless I have money to spend. Rule #2: Never go when I’m moody, bored, or avoiding responsibility or people. Rule #3: Bring a Sponsor. Rule #4: Go in knowing what I’m after. Who am I kidding, I never follow any of my rules. Hm, I’ll just go look over here now. No, really, it was.

Wherein Lies Your Woe, Wombat?: A Nice and Awesome Week
http://whereinliesyourwoewombat.blogspot.com/2013/01/a-nice-and-awesome-week.html
Wherein Lies Your Woe, Wombat? Saturday, January 26, 2013. A Nice and Awesome Week. I woke up early this Saturday morning with a start. What time is it? Convinced I was late for work/school/reality, I blindly groped for my cell phone, which doubles as my clock and alarm at night: 7:23 SATURDAY, JANUARY 26,. It told me. And with that I flopped (somewhat delicately but we'll get to that later) back down into the deliciousness of my warm bed and uttered a word of relief, awesome. I think, and begin to remot...
