Wednesday, 21 November 2007. Weigh up the consequences. There’s a bit here today which says almost half of our cats and dogs are now officially overweight. A study's found nine out of ten owners are killing their pets by feeding them cakes, biscuits and yoghurts. Being obese means the animals can find it harder to walk and lead to conditions like diabetes. Just the same as it can in humans. Type 2 diabetes…isn’t that it? There’s nothing worse than a beer keg dog….you know they kind I mean.

A charity has removed all references to alcohol from the classic song "What Shall We Do With The Drunken Sailor? The Grumpy Pirate." . It’s just songs are such a serious issue.

In the newspaper here, a council is threatening families with £100 fines if they put their wheelie bins out too early. . I don’t know about you.but nearly everyone round my way puts the things out the night before.despite the fact the council notes said .before 7.30am on the day of collection. . That’s just not workable. .

A council's threatened to cut down several pear trees because of the risk posed by their unusually large falling fruit. I’ve never had a problem with pear drops.
