Letter #52 - Dear David. March 15, 2017. Almost exactly 12 years ago today, your life was choked out by a weed we all know well: cancer. Since then I’ve written almost nothing about it. My musty, well loved sweater writing style has never really fit the depth of emotion that I have in writing to you. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve started letters at different ages, hoping that I’d finally wrench out the words I wanted to say, but most often have found that they still weren’t ripe.
