The Count's blog: October 2005
http://countal.blogspot.com/2005_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 28, 2005. Nationals, Day 2. I guess I wasn't edgy enough for Luke in my day 1 recap. Unfortunately, I'm not into providing bulletin board fodder prior to the next rounds, except for the fact that I'm sure none of the other players at this tournament will be reading my blog between now and tomorrow. Nonetheless, this will be the 'softer side of Sears'. Posted by Alex de Frondeville at 9:19 PM. Thursday, October 27, 2005. Nationals, Day 1. The Condors have to hope that Doublewide loses to C...

The Count's blog: July 2005

Tuesday, July 26, 2005. Injury sidebar - Part II. So, Jim is taking advantage of the volume going to his blog by just posing questions now and letting the viewers respond in comments, instead of posting original thought. And Luke is busy trying to get his hit counts up by posting a bunch. Meanwhile, I'm still weathering my daughter's freak 2nd degree burns on the soles of her feet. And if you have a strong stomach, you can check out some pictures here. Posted by Alex de Frondeville at 10:08 AM. Oh yeah, ...

The Count's blog: November 2005
http://countal.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 15, 2005. If memory serves me. Well, that's the problem these days, it doesn't. At least related to frisbee. As I age not quite so gracefully, I find that it is becoming more and more difficult to remember things. Let me digress. This isn't really trolling for comments/hits, but I'm curious to see if any of the other old-timers out there, and perhaps the not quite so old, but not quite so young timers are also experiencing the same thing? Posted by Alex de Frondeville at 8:08 PM. I also...

The Count's blog: August 2005
http://countal.blogspot.com/2005_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 30, 2005. Where is the chesapeake write up? Luke, fine question. Of course, it would be much easier for me to do a write-up if I had actually been there. It has been very frustrating missing tournaments this 'fall'. In the last few years, I had only missed sectionals up to this point, but a combination of factors caused me to miss both the Colorado Cup and the Chesapeake Open. But that doesn't mean I can't write something up. After being bumped to the losers bracket, DoG was able to get b...

The Count's blog: May 2005
http://countal.blogspot.com/2005_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 25, 2005. I can't count the number of times that I would get a dump, turn to continue the swing up the break mark side only to find the entire stack staring at me, whereas the other DoG team almost always had somebody cutting to continue the flow up the break mark side. Not so coincidentally, our squad had more handler tryouts, and the other squad had more receiver tryouts. Posted by Alex de Frondeville at 8:15 AM. Monday, May 23, 2005. Well, Ted Munter cutting me from Z in 1989 also helpe...

The Count's blog: January 2006
http://countal.blogspot.com/2006_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 25, 2006. Am I the last of my kind? After you get past the obvious response of 'God, I hope so', I've been following with semi-interest some of the recent conditioning posts by George. And I realize that I just don't have that kind of dedication to conditioning in me. I am well aware of the public perception of my athleticism, witness other posts such as this. So, my question stands, am I the last of my kind? Perhaps a little rotund, blah, blah, blah. Wednesday, January 11, 2006. Poste...

The Count's blog: December 2005
http://countal.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 23, 2005. So, I've done some lengthy skimming of the book, and in-depth reading of the 'glory' days of the DoG run. My initial reactions are not nearly enough discussion about ME. And there is a factual error that I corrected with Tony and company, and they do quote me partially, but here is the REAL story. We can't be DaG! Posted by Alex de Frondeville at 11:26 AM. Tuesday, December 20, 2005. Visiting the 'evil' empire. Posted by Alex de Frondeville at 1:25 PM. There is a video library ...
