Deb and Reid's Holidays. We've landed in Cairns for our mid winter get away! This time we've actually found a nice cafe in Cairns for breakfast, the coffee is quite good and the food is alright too! My quesadilla didn't look very appetising but the flavours really worked and it was very tasty! We've come away for the long weekend to the Grampians. June 13, 2010. One of Deb's colleagues owns a vinevard in Guildford, so on Friday night, a bunch of us went up for the night. We had a big barbeque, plenty of wine (supplied by the host) and a nice bonfire (which is currently this site's background image). In other news, it froze that night. This is a newish place on Johnston St, it's got all the makings of a traditional hipster cafe - white walls, industrial furnishing, bearded staff etc. The food looked great, but it took forever to arrive and was a bit dry - my fritters needed a bit more sauce and Reid's baked eggs were slightly over done. Plus my coriander garnish was looking pretty sad. Overall tho, it was pretty nice.

We came to Pope Joan in the hope there would be sun in their courtyard . but there isn't. The breakfast menu is porridge, muesli, toast etc. and the brunch menu is definitely more on the lunch side, my baked eggs had broccoli! It was tasty tho, just perhaps not my ideal breakfast. Friday, March 23, 2018. Cheesecake and trash talk. Yesterday was my last day at Big Boy Websites. There were a lot of jokes and a lot of back talking. There were some very very funny in jokes. There was a lot of work done too, tying up all the loose ends. We ate a shared lunch of Keri's curry and crusty bread that Sarah brought. It was delicious. I made a cheese cake and that was delicious too. There were a few liberties taken. This meant that everyone got to drink at 3pm because. It was actually fun.
