Just another WordPress.com site. Alliance Broadband Kolkata Connectivity Problems. February 15, 2018. I have been on Alliance Broadband for a few months and I noticed that every 30 minutes or so the connection would break and would require re-connecting. I looked into the router settings and realised that the Alliance provided DNS server is the culprit. It is probably an ill-provisioned server which is unable to take the incoming query load and hence requests start failing. End of the road.
