http://atailoredline.blogspot.com/2014/04/illustration-friday-natural.html
Thursday, April 24, 2014. Illustration Friday - 'natural'. Hello friends - how have you been? Have been quite busy and productive but wanted to jump in on IF's word this week, 'natural'. I haven't contributed anything over there for awhile so this is my humble offering. Natural', mixed media handmade journal. I've read that you need to put in 10,000 hrs. to perfect your craft, so if you do it part-time (like me) that would take about 10 years. I think I;m about halfway there :). Have a great week!

Wednesday, May 14, 2014. Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time." - Thomas Merton. Hello friends, how is your week going? Just popping in to share a couple of spreads in my handmade art journal, it's been so freeing to just play / make a mess and experiment with different techniques. If I don't like the way it's going I just slap on another coat of gesso and start over - btw did I mention that gesso is one of my fave art supplies? Not everybodys cup of tea". Announcing our t...

If you've followed my work for sometime, you know I'm a huge fan of using quotes in my journals as opposed to writing out day to day living /emotions etc. ( i've never liked writing in a diary - my best to all that do though! Anyhow, I stopped making art of any kind for almost 9 months (! May 29, 2014, 8:57:00 PM.

Humphrey House - Green Remodeling of an Arts and Crafts Bungalow: These are Some Serious Windows
http://www.humphrey-house.com/2011/05/these-are-some-serious-windows.html
Tuesday, May 17, 2011. These are Some Serious Windows. Working in the field of green homes. Is both a blessing and a bit of a curse. It's great to establish contacts with people that understand healthy indoor air and energy efficiency, but when you live in a 1920's house you realize there are a lot of improvements that can be made. One thing we had done a few years ago when we finished our second floor was install some storm windows on the original windows. Around the seams to ensure a good airtight seal.

Wednesday, February 02, 2011. Photos of Chicago's Blizzard of '11. At Humphrey House, it's been a relatively uneventful winter - until today. At about 2:30 AM yesterday Feb 1, we started getting snow and howling winds (40-50 mph) and it didn't let up until 10:00AM today. When it was all over, it was the third-snowiest. Day on record with 20.2" totals. However, due to the high winds, there is hardly any snow on the roofs of any buildings - it all was blown onto the ground creating massive drifts. During t...
