I want this cane to be extremely easy to make so how to I make the concept of craters or shadows look realistic without making the cane piece by piece like I would a picture. What is the proper balance of light to gray in the shadows so they're visible but not focal? My first trial was a miserable failure! 3) Roll out a 2" square sheet of white clay and cut out ...

Your home for custom made polymer canes, jewelry and tutorials! Contact me if your interested in classes or seminars! Tuesday, August 26, 2014. Ok and now for change #4. I'm still pinching myself about this one. I've written an article for The Polymer Arts and it's going to be published in the upcoming edition. This has had me nervous and excited - and I'm still feeling like that awkward person who isn't quite sure what she's doing. It's a big step for me! Thank you for everything, Sage! September 1, 201...

The Color of Dreams: Owl Delicious
http://thecolorofdreams.blogspot.com/2015/04/owl-delicious.html
Wednesday, April 29, 2015. I could not wait to get Deb Hart's. It captivated me and I have made lots of beads, but I have never done cane sculpting before. It is a great tutorial with clear concise instructions. My owl is not perfect of course, but I would not expect him to be. I had never made a project this involved before and was surprised at all the steps that needed to be completed before I even got to start adding the cane slices. It is definitely a labor of love. Here is what my owl looks like:.

Deb Hart Fine Art & Polymer Designs: Giving a Hoot
http://rengalsa.blogspot.com/2015/04/giving-hoot.html
Your home for custom made polymer canes, jewelry and tutorials! Contact me if your interested in classes or seminars! Sunday, April 12, 2015. Life is odd sometimes. I generally like to get out my sketchbook, research pictures to figure out layout and colors - plan designs right now to the amount of clay I use. I experiment with scrap clay to figure out shapes and sizes and get my bearing on new techniques. But sometimes, art just grabs you. My new owl pieces came about like that. April 24, 2015 at 7:13 AM.

The Kokopelli has always been one of my favorite Native American images. As you can see below, I have used the image not only in polymer clay, but also in my other artwork. Your home for custom made polymer canes, jewelry and tutorials! Contact me if your interested in classes or seminars! Friday, April 4, 2014. So - first off I wanted it to represent my name, Deb Hart, thus I took my first initial and my last name and came up with a heart pattern inside a letter D. I used my magic swirl cane as the basis for my heart, since it's become so popular. If you haven't seen my tutorial for the cane you can find it in my blog. Or in my newsletter.
