Monday, March 30, 2015. Saturday, March 28, 2015. Drip, drip, drip goes New England. I can hear two different crews shoveling my neighbors' roofs - both whacking away at the ice dams with huge mallets. I have to run some errands. Backing out of our driveway these days means inching along, lights on, very slowly since there is no possibility of seeing anything from either side with snow piles that are taller than the street signs. Friday, July 31, 2015. Tree frog and mindfulness. Tree frog with spruce needles. I finally got up at 4:45, which is at least an hour earlier than I wanted to be awake, but sleep was not coming back. I did my morning things – get dressed, take medicine, start fans going again to air out the house, feed cats, eat banana, check email, start a load of laundry, wash dishes, open back screen door, open windows, and voila! A little tree frog had been stuck between the window and the storm window.

I’m working towards figures that you could tell from a block away, “that’s an old woman” or, “that’s a young girl”. I’m looking for monolithic shapes.
