Get and receive, all about me, no there’s nothing for you. Why would you think that’s true? All year long it’s all about me, why would Christmas be any different? Why should I share, no time to care, where is the more for me? Who are these needy and why should I give? Don’t they have government assistance for that? Homeless people choose to be that way. Deborah Horton: Adjust Your Sails
http://deborahhorton.blogspot.com/2013/08/adjust-your-sails.html
A little bit of everything from Deborah Horton. Sunday, August 25, 2013. Life is like an ever changing wind. Some days the skies are blue and cloudless and the wind is calm. Some days the skies are angry and black and the wind howls. Life is pretty much the same. No two days, no two moments are ever the same. You must continually adjust your sails. With everything I have going on, I think if I were not organized everything would be an utter failure. I also don't do failure well. To adjust your sails you ...
Deborah Horton: It's A Wonderful Life
http://deborahhorton.blogspot.com/2014/12/its-wonderful-life.html
A little bit of everything from Deborah Horton. Saturday, December 6, 2014. It's A Wonderful Life. But being out of work this last week has allowed me to really have a look at my friends and followers on Facebook. Somehow, when one is in the woe is me, they think that their situation is worse than anything. They concentrate on the woe and not on the wonderful. Until they take a good hard look around at other people's lives. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Its A Wonderful Life. View my complete profile.

A little bit of everything from Deborah Horton. Monday, December 24, 2012. Too Busy For Love. On Saturday, my husband and I were out shopping in between a movie and dinner plans. We were in the store just picking up a couple of last minute things. The store was very busy as you would expect. Take the time so that we are never too busy for love. Tuesday, December 11, 2012. Deborah Horton: August 2012
http://deborahhorton.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
A little bit of everything from Deborah Horton. Friday, August 24, 2012. Word of the Year. My boss, an assistant principal in a high school, has put up a banner on which she would like all the staff to write their word of the year. Given that I LOVE words, picking one is extremely difficult. Especially one to represent my whole year's "motto" as it were. Thursday, August 16, 2012. All we can control in in our lives is our own lives. Our responsibility lies within the confines of our own lives. We...Blame...
Deborah Horton: July 2014
http://deborahhorton.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
A little bit of everything from Deborah Horton. Sunday, July 27, 2014. Over the last few weeks I have talked to many people who are stuck. They live their lives every day in the same way, never moving forward, and never happy. Seemingly unable to remove themselves from whatever they are stuck in and constantly making everyone around them just as miserable as they have become. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). http://deborahhorton.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
A little bit of everything from Deborah Horton. Saturday, August 9, 2014. Just as the changing of the seasons, change comes to us all. There is the change that comes without our control - growing older, outside forces, the infinite march of time. There is the change that comes with our control - choices. But change comes and we can either change with it or fight against it, this is also a choice. I decided not to take hormones firstly for the risk of breast cancer, which has a history in my family and se...

http://deborahhorton.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
A little bit of everything from Deborah Horton. Saturday, May 4, 2013. Not What You Think. This weekend in Billings voters are contemplating passing two education levies. One is for more teachers (to make sure student/teacher ratios are met in elementary schools for accreditation) and the second one is an elementary school technology levy. Just like any other city or town in the US, many voters get the ballots and/or information in the mail and one of the first things they say is WHY? Imagine what it is ...

Deborah Horton: April 2013

A little bit of everything from Deborah Horton. Monday, April 15, 2013. Other countries like Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Libya, Israel must all look at our news and our reactions to it and wonder, why do we seemingly go overboard when something like this happens when in their countries it is an everyday.and EVERYDAY occurrence. Why do we not rise up in shock and outrage when even our own American soldiers are killed in other countries? The government and some Americans run directly to passing laws becau...

Artist | Deborah Horrell | Portland, Oregon Artist
Since 2000, Horrell's work has evolved from elegantly refined vessels- -presented either as single objects or in still-life groupings that suggest a lineage traced through the poetic paintings of Giorgio Morandi- -into metaphoric containers of the corporeal body's fears.the artist has used the delicate fragility of cast pâté de verre to poetically respond to the reality of the body in trauma.". Bruce Guenther, Chief Curator of Portland Art Museum, Portland, Oregon.

That anything is possible. Doors meant for you will always be opened before you. Hope is stronger than fear. One who has hope has everything. Hope is the thing with feathers. That waits in the soul. Ready to take wing and fly. As long as you give it life. With strong positive expectations. Acceptance is easy when it is something you want or like. Never hard to accept things that make you happy. But what about things that make you unhappy. How does one gain acceptance of those. Through the passage of time.

School Counseling and LCPC Counseling. Thank You For Being Kind. Believe it or not, there are kind children who attend high school. I know many people may not believe this to be true because of all they read and hear, but I have seen it with my own eyes and heard it with my own ears. I think it’s past time to start to see this behavior more and perhaps we would see less of the less desirable behavior. This entry was posted on August 1, 2015, in August 2015.
