Tuesday Stitchers: Angela ~ More Leaves
http://tast2012.blogspot.com/2015/08/angela-more-leaves.html
August 11, 2015. More little berries and leaves and a lot of background. I love the colors in this, fall is my favorite season and growing up in MI we had all the myriad colors of leaves. I miss that, here in TX we pretty much get green or brown and nothing else. Youre making good progress, Angela. Love the autumn colours. The colors of Fall are especially appealing during the last part of summer. Youre getting very close to the end of this section and I admire your perseverence. Label Drop Down Menu.
Tuesday Stitchers: Susan: CQJP2015

August 4, 2015. June Block - I got a small start! Two seams, one not yet finished. Seam 39 is a little odd - didn't work quite the way I expected:. Seam 40 didn't work out as planned, either. I meant to use French knots to make sort of curved designs out from each Feather Stitch, but it wound up looking like a mess of French knots, so I took it out, a rare thing for me. I have bugle bead plans next. Sometimes the ones that dont follow the plan turn out the best! Love the blue corner on the finished block!
Tuesday Stitchers: Barbara's Scrappy Diamonds ( 50 x 60")
http://tast2012.blogspot.com/2015/08/barbaras-scrappy-diamonds-50-x-60.html
August 11, 2015. Barbara's Scrappy Diamonds ( 50 x 60"). I finished another scrappy quilt. It's very gratifying to use up some small pieces of fabric I knew would play well together. I had more scraps and considered another border, but this small throw size is perfect. And low and behold, I have the perfect piece of fleece in just the right size for the backing, so I'll be quilting this one myself. Posted by Barbara C. Absolutely lovely and it should be warm and cozy for those winter evenings. English Pa...

Tuesday Stitchers: Cyra - CQJP block fillers
http://tast2012.blogspot.com/2015/08/cyra-cqjp-block-fillers.html
August 11, 2015. Cyra - CQJP block fillers. There is only one word that describes this particular week for me - - BUSY. It's change-over week for ownership of our Auckland farm property, and that means lots of visits and meetings with professional services people. This time next week I may be able to sit back and enjoy the sunny days, but for now, it's on with the business at hand. Where did I find time to stitch? I have no idea, but here ya go, a bit more 'filling' on the Orange block. I love the flower!
Tuesday Stitchers: Suz: August
http://tast2012.blogspot.com/2015/08/suz-august.html
August 4, 2015. The heat wave is waning and we've had several thunderstorms this past weekend. Wind, rain and hail. When the hydro was working, I spent some time stitching. Wrapping Cloth piece #14 sports a bridge of buttonhole lace. The bridge joins different pockets together. The next photo shows pencils extending from the pockets on this piece. 8 pencils= 8 pockets, so far. I'm experimenting with a doodle cloth. Adding texture and layers. More branches and leaves to come. Wrapping cloth piece #14.
Tuesday Stitchers: Judy~ Oops, It's Wednesday, Isn't It?
http://tast2012.blogspot.com/2015/08/judy-oops-its-wednesday-isnt-it.html
August 12, 2015. Judy Oops, It's Wednesday, Isn't It? Yesterday flew by without my having an extra time to do a post. It's been a bit crazy here. On Sunday we spent much of the day helping a friend who just had rotor cuff surgery on her right shoulder, and I was able to get some knitting projects finished in time for several August birthdays. This is en route to the Midwest for the GD that is turning 8. How she got to be that old so quickly is a mystery! Posted by Judy S. Thats a lot of knitting! Yes, it...

Tuesday Stitchers: Angela ~ More Rosehips and Leaves
http://tast2012.blogspot.com/2015/08/angela-more-rosehips-and-leaves.html
August 4, 2015. Angela More Rosehips and Leaves. I've gotten a bit more done, some rose hips and the start of more blackberries as well as more leaves. With temps over 100 I'm really looking forward to Autumn. Blackberries here are a noxious weed and probably part of the infrastructure of our state. Once they get into your garden, they go crazy with their inch thick thorny vines and would probably wrap themselves around your house when you arent looking! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Detached Chain...
Tuesday Stitchers: Barbara's Scrappy Diamonds
http://tast2012.blogspot.com/2015/08/barbaras-scrappy-diamonds.html
August 4, 2015. I'm on to my next scrappy project, using up some dark reds and golds I'd set aside to use together. I decided to make a simple one-block quilt and let the colors and fabrics do the work. I love half-square triangles. They're easily constructed and can be set in many different ways. For this quilt I decided to go with a setting where the darks and lights form alternating diamonds. I cut 7-inch squares in each color, only because that's what my scraps would yield. Posted by Barbara C. Alger...

Debra L. Butterfield. Editor - Writer -Writing Coach. What are today’s publishing options and which is best for me? A lot of publishing options for getting your book baby out into the world exist in today’s market. What are those options? How does one learn about all the ins and outs? Residential and Commercial Textile Artist. Sunday, February 22, 2015. Nurse's Retirement Quilt Finished. A monumental task with all the pieces of clothing to use but worth it! The Doctor who commissioned the work was just thrilled. She was very pleased I sewed her vision. It takes skill to listen to people and then interpret their desires into a quilt. Very proud of this quilt! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Mother and Child Crazy Quilt. Winter Madonna Crazy Quilt. Debra Dixon Design on etsy.

Imagine Out Loud
Wednesday, December 10, 2014. Our Tree is Up! Me and the kiddos decorated our Christmas tree this morning, now the house smells like Christmas! I used my tablet to snap a few photos to share.although the kiddos were not very cooperative! Here's what happened when I asked them to stay still:. Here Josh is semi still :. Then, here is what happened when I asked them to hug each other;. A mini wrestling match occurred. Although Sophie did manage to sneak in a choke hold hug while she smiled at the camera!
