2016 – London to San Sebastian. Day 2 – Hook of Holland to Nijmegen. August 2, 2014. Distance: 183.1 km. Average speed: 21.4 kmph. First time in Holland, was expecting a long but brisk day. Instead I had a solid headwind all day, occasionally materialising into massive soakings. The paths themselves were great, offroad, well marked – so it was demoralising not being able to get much over 20 kmph at times.
