Like it was my first time to Hawaii, I sat in the plane with my nose pressed against the glass, taking in all the sights of the island and the ocean. Ted and Matt Stout picked me up, and they laughed at my goofy statements like "look, there's H-2! And "look, there's the gulch! Dinner of beef stew and garlic shoyu chicken with rice and mac salad - yum!

Monday, March 17, 2008. To me A friend gave me a book to read about waiting on the Lord, and the chapter I just read spoke to me, that maybe my deeper stress is. The author says that when we are in "God's waiting room" we may think we are waiting for something. To happen, but we are really waiting for our deeper need to be met which is for something. Why is it that if you speak to me and I have my glasses off, I hear you but can't understand you? Since when do I need to see in order to hear? God is love and he wants us to grow up to be like him.
