(See the previous post. For more information about the training.) Here are some of my reflections on the course:. There’s nothing you can’t teach without some cut up pieces of paper and a pen. Pre-made materials were often more trouble than they were worth. Teaching 1-1 for a whole day is very tiring, for both the student and me.

My teaching schedule for the past year and a half has been a LOT less busy than it was when I was working in the UK. But starting on Monday, for 6 hours a day, 6 days a week, for 4 weeks, back I’ll be in the classroom. But I’m also (worryingly) calm. We have NO IDEA of the level of the students. Why I shouldn’t be calm:. Seriously, no idea at all. What’s their level of English? Are they literate in English?
