Christmas: The Season | Deciphering Kim
https://decipheringkim.wordpress.com/2012/12/24/christmas-the-season
It's all about the journey…. Skip to primary content. December 24, 2012. I tried quite hard this year to actually make Christmas a season. My lovely friend. And I were discussing how the idea of Christmas as just one day doesn’t really work; I wanted this year to truly celebrate Advent and the coming of the birth of Christ. I think I was fairly successful; thanks to all my friends and family for making this a lovely Christmas season! In no particular order:. In addition to the choirs, bands and ensembles...

About this perfect day with amazing weather, great people, unbelievable music and stellar parking to boot. 2 I love summer outdoor concerts, and with one already checked off my list, I’m excited to see Sara Bareilles at Art Park in July with Amanda and Cait (and hopefully Meg and Steph, too! 8 Check out other ov...

I am a bit overdue with this final posting about my summer of goals; BUT, better late than never, AND…my goodness, has it ever been busy these past two weeks! After checking where I had left off. Here’s how I made out with the remainders on my to do list:. 8 – Learn to play Jon Schmidt’s “All of Me.”. 14 – Buy something new at Kempenfest. Yep! I spent quite a few h...

It's all about the journey…. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. Monthly Archives: March 2013. Aotearoa, March ’13 – Highlights Version. March 29, 2013. I definitely had the time of my life…again! You all know the story (because I never stop talking about it) – Air Canada gave me a free flight so that I could go to Jamanda’s wedding in New Zealand in March. I wrote them a true story of friendship and they helped me get there for the next chapter! Our group of seven was together again (and...

It's all about the journey…. Skip to primary content. Summer Starts: One Republic. June 24, 2014. I had a fabulous celebratethestarttosummer this past Sunday, when I went to see One Republic with my good friend Loreli, and her two teenage daughters, Mal and Sophia. I am blogging about this for two reasons: 1. It was actually such a perfect day, and 2. You might already be a One Republic fan, but you have no idea how much of a fan you are until you see them live (as was the case for me). 5 Molson Amphithe...

Now and Not Yet. Further Down the Road. We have a nephew! Alexander was born on April 18th, 2012. Matt was the first family member to hold him. Luke and Krista got married! I was too busy crying happy tears to take photos of the bride and groom, so this photo will have to do. We celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary. We went camping in Tobermory for Labour Day weekend. SO beautiful. Will definitely be going back. And so many other photo-less moments”. I caught my first baby. Crocheted my first blanket.

November 25, 2012. Epic does not even begin to describe the stage presence of these 5 gentlemen from Chemnitz (aka Karl-Marx Stadt) in Germany. Kraftklub are indeed my favourite German band. Not only are they incredible live but they have a great sound, incredible energy and witty lyrics (makes me glad I can understand German). Harri and I discovered them in July ’11 at Rock ‘im’ Park. The concert was no Scheiss indie disco that’s for sure! Definitely worth the anticipation. Ka pai Kraftklub. I am alread...

Now and Not Yet. Further Down the Road. Painting the Kitchen and Living in the Moment. Since finishing my clinical placements for semester my days suddenly have a lot of give in them. Free time to use how and where I please. The pressing issues of my days have become “which day this week should I clean the bathroom? 8221; and “when should I go to the gym? Bad, so we left it as-is. Now, the funny thing is as much as we love living here (the location, the people, the rent, the memories! Oshawa, Sarnia or w...

December 24, 2012. While You Were Sleeping. It’s always a treat to get a little bit of home when you are living on the other side of the world. This year the Guest of Honor at the Frankfurt International book fair was none other than Aotearoa. So off I went. There were two highlights for me. The first was chatting with one of the boys that came over from the NZ Maori Arts and Crafts institute to demonstrate carving. His accent was so thick and rural it made me feel instantly at home. 8211; Chris Price.
