Deckard's Guide: It's all in the details: Manhattan 2014
http://deckardsguide.blogspot.com/2014/07/its-all-in-details-manhattan-2014.html
Saturday, July 26, 2014. It's all in the details: Manhattan 2014. Ignacio Quiles, Dandy Wellington, Matt Deckard. I’m continuously neglecting putting pen to paper or even fingers to keyboard. Something I’ve shied away from for the last few years… just a lot of trauma I guess. Best hopes dashed on some fronts and losing both my parents in quick succession… Just not the recipe for taking time to sit and concentrate in the ways I’ve done in the past. To the blog (We still use that word? Me and Gibson Frazier.

Deckard's Guide: Respecting Hollywood's Spectacles
http://deckardsguide.blogspot.com/2014/04/respecting-hollywoods-spectacles.html
Sunday, April 27, 2014. Shoes, trousers, jacket vest, shirt, tie. all of these items are important; Hats too, Yet none of those things are as important as the glasses you put on your face. When I originally decided to wear the wire rimmed P3 style seen in the images below, I did so a bit out of fandom of the Indiana Jones look sported by Harrison Ford, and, a bit more out of the fact that I hadn't really seen a pair of glasses that just suited my own long oval face shape nearly as well.

Tickety Boo Tupney: December 2013
http://ticketybootupney.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Friday, 20 December 2013. Everyone Needs A Grumpy Snowman! This year I have finally got around to making a rather dashing Snowman for my festive table decorations! He has been on my ‘to make’ list for years, but I usually so get bogged down by other tasks associated with the ‘Merry Season’ that I soon forget to make these silly things that appeal to me so. The idea for this little chap was found amongst the pages of a 1951 magazine, and it was love at first sight! I know I haven't given you much time to ...

Tickety Boo Tupney: January 2014
http://ticketybootupney.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 29 January 2014. Knit for Victory: The Cape. I have been feeling rather sorry for myself over the past couple of months, and still am rather. So, as you can imagine, blogging has been the last thing on my mind. Not been up to much myself, so have little to report on great and exciting happenings. I have, however, finished one of my ‘Knit for Victory’ knits… Hurrah for a positive! To be honest, there’s not much to write about. The knitting went smoothly and the sewing up was a doddle! The whole...
Tickety Boo Tupney: Pretty Shiny Things...
http://ticketybootupney.blogspot.com/2014/12/pretty-shiny-things.html
Wednesday, 17 December 2014. Last week was all about the bobbles, so it is only fair that this week is about the baubles… and my, what beautiful baubles they are! Well, I think they are beautiful- even the super tacky ones have charm, and will always find a home on my ever shrinking Christmas tree of tat. Ready to marvel at my baubles? I have no idea if these little critters are Christmas decorations or not, but they came with some vintage decs (on separate occasions), so Christmas decs they will stay!

Monday, 5 May 2014. The Dot, Dot, Dot, Dash Dress! I really can’t believe it, two things started and finished in the same year! Yes, I’m back again with my second Sew for Victory project…. The ∙∙∙ ─ dress. It has given me such a boost in confidence and a much needed one at that. This pattern included top stitching, gathers, a placket and collar- all the things I hate doing, and I did ‘em all like a big girl! 8729;∙∙ ─. Ohh, such pretty waist and hip details.. 8729;∙∙ ─. 8729;∙∙ ─. 8221; I suddenly notic...

Tickety Boo Tupney: Smile for Santa...
http://ticketybootupney.blogspot.com/2014/12/santa-says-smile.html
Tuesday, 9 December 2014. Here are a few jolly ‘Santa’ snaps from my collection. I’ve been saving them up for this very merry month. Mind you, on closer inspection- I’ve zoomed in and everything- I’m not at all convinced that any of them are the real Father Christmas! Still, they are rather fun…. Nice bit of set dressing going on here- very good for dating this photo! Rather like his choice of outfi, too. Well who isn't a fan of an oversized buckle, eh? Here's to the next time,.
