The Golden Bookmark List. Best of 2012 . Book Reviews. Friday, July 3, 2015. Help My Unbelief: Why Doubt is Not the Enemy of Faith by Barnabas Piper. God is infinite, beyond our understanding—yet He chooses to reveal Himself in ways that spark questions rather than settling them all.Instead of making Himself smaller, God invites us into a larger faith. One that has room for questions, victories, failures, and mystery. I've always loved that verse. I found Barnabas to be refreshing and very wise. If r...

Ramblings, musings and a whole lot about Books. Monday, September 7, 2009. Running gets easier.or at least today it was. Okay, I ran 3.5 this morning which was a piece of cake up until the steep hill but even that wasn't horrible. I put my head down and plowed forward. Why was running so easy today? Well mentally, I knew 3 miles or even 3.5 wasn't going to be as hard as my Saturday. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Subscribe in a reader. View my complete profile. New Releases Worth Noting! Ramblings, musings and a whole lot about Books. Monday, May 26, 2014. Count Down Has Begun. Someone told me the other day that when you have a child you have eighteen summers. That doesn't sound like much. I can't help but look back over the past seventeen summers and wonder if we have done enough with him. I don't mean vacations and camps but did we do enough with him to make a difference? Did we do enough to mold him into a man of honor and one that will love God and love others? Deena's Banding Journey

Tuesday, May 3, 2011. One year and a little bit. It's been busy, but who's life isn't busy, right? I have one more final to take next week and then it is off to another college in the fall. I will be taking courses from Eastern Illinois University. Something like 25 to 30 more hours and I will have my bachelor's degree. I don't obsess over food like I did before getting the band. Food, most times, is not on my mind and I would never have thought that would be possible in my life. Have a great spring day.
